Who are the people that sit in section V somewhere in the vicinity of row 41 to maybe row 44 that stand the entire game every game for no apparent reason? Before the game, during the game, during tv breaks, during halftime, during winning, during losing, during everything?

One game this year some kids where behind them and couldn't see a damn thing even standing on their seats, the kids couldn't see. I felt badly for the kids. Very badly.

These folks have done this for years and I'm so glad I don't sit behind them.

I get it, stand and cheer your team on! Stand and scream while on defense or a suspenseful moment is happening...

I'm all for standing and cheering.

But these folks are just classless jerks who just want to be seen. It is seriously a hey look at us not the game situation. Just simply want to be seen and almost dare people to say something.

People have complained for years and we always say, every game, boy we're glad we don't sit directly behind them.....

I stand the entire time except half time. If I'm going to spend the money to go to a game, I'm going to stand and watch. Sorry.

I agree with this. Except when you have someone behind you that can't stand... As in this case. Anyone who does that is a jerk.

Stand during defense and important plays. Sit while on offense (jumping up it's a good play) sit during breaks and halftime. This should be the acceptable prodical imo. That's what happens in my seats anyway

Hey OP grow a pair and tell them to sit the heck down. Seriously why are people such little whimps these days, I'll tell anyone to shut up in a theatre or sit down at a sporting event if my view is obscured, it's really not dangerous to confront someone if you spent money on something and you're not enjoying it, if your dinner at an expensive steakhouse came out cold and unpleasant aren't you going to get it fixed ? Ask an usher, no big deal.

Interesting, this is the first I've heard of this.

It's rude to do it when people behind can't see especially kids or smaller people.

I'd say if the people in this section are affecting you while you are at the game or you see them affecting someone else then send a text complaint to the UT police. Find an usher and complain, or find an officer and complain. Start putting the heat on these people and be persistent.

From their cell phones, fans can send an anonymous tip by texting the letters "UTPD" followed by the location and details pertaining to an incident to Tip411 (847411).

or call UTPD 865-974-3111 if your cell service doesn't support texting to that 847 number.

Sure if there is a handicapped person behind me or something that's another story. But if they are capable of standing and don't that's their problem.

I think there are standing moments in the game( defense, big plays, and to get up and go to the hotdog stand), I like the enthusiasm and commitment of those that stand the entire time(thru halftime, I don't get). If kids can't see for them, has anyone asked to trade seats with them(put then kids in front), that may be worth a try. If truly no one has said anything to them, you might try that too, they liable to talk you into standing too. Anytime I'm fortunate enough to get to attend, I always try to small talk the surrounding fans, so if I get out of line, they talk to me about it, rather than calling for their momma, to come scold me.

I was raised by a man and a woman who got where they are today not by being whimps. I came from dirt, I'm not better than anybody, but I damn sure ain't taking any kind of bs from rude people who don't give a dang about anyone else's well being.

But yeah I'm tough, as tough as they come, my extra curricular activities aren't ruined by jackasses. Just trying to inspire some of these whimps to stand up for themselves.

It's a form of bullying being a jackass, and this world needs more tough people, not cowards.

Duck hunters setting up 100 yards away, deer hunters waltzing right past my stand, fishermen within casting distance(after I was there first) all jackasses comparable to people who talk in theatres and stand up in front of people entire games , just be courteous.

Don't be a Bammer.
