:dunno: I may be reading this wrong but it looks like you have the wrong avitar :dunno:
He pulled a quote from catspause and neglected to put a quote box around it. Hence the "this post made me laugh"

He was mocking it.

So we lose Chris Lofton and JuJuan Smith and you think we're going to be better? 1000% better on defense without JuJuan, who has single handily won a few games with his defense.

So how are we going to be so much more stout on the boards? How is the defense going to be 1000% better? Who is going to hit the 3 ball again? Everyone? So Chism, Tyler, Ramar, Prince.....they'll all be hitting 3's like Lofton/JuJuan is what you're saying? haha

Just because you say it, doesn't make it so. Trying to convince someone of something that ridiculous requires a bit of breaking down WHY/HOW you think it's so instead of just throwing it out there.

Our recruiting class will go a long way in determining how good we'll be next year. We're going to be VERY good, but if you think we'll be better then you need your head examined because if it weren't for Lofton/JuJuan this year, we'd have close to 10 losses if not more.

If we get a couple of key guys, and I agree that Hopson is one of them, but there is no one on our team coming back next year that is a threat to shoot the 3 ball with any sort of consistency.
1. The 3 ball will still matter in college ball, but the additional foot will make it less dominating in outcomes.
2. Our starters are likely to be Chism, Crews/Williams down low with Tyler taking the 3. The backcourt will be some mix of Tabb, Ramar, JP and Cam Tatum. That group will outrebound just about everyone we play and will no longer have Lofton and Howell as absolute liabilities on D. Tabb and Tatum will be every bit the defender that JaJuan is and will rebound far better than our guards today.

Our halfcourt D today is constantly covering for Lofton, who gets beat at the drop of the hat by nearly everyone he defends. Constant shuffling cracks defenses. We'll do much less of that next season. Tell me how our D won't be 1000% better. We can overplay and still protect the bucket.

3. Our bench is likely to have Jurick and Woolridge backing up the frontcourt and Hopson (should he arrive), along with West, rotating into the front court. We'll go 9 deep again. If West can truly be the point that Ramar isn't and we can free up Ramar to play some at the 2, Ramar will be dramatically better.

That's why we'll be better. If you'd prefer a team relying on streaky style 3 pointers from 21 feet instead of 19'9", more power to you, but that just means you don't very well understand basketball.

Now, it's not just because I said so. It's because we will be even more athletic and dramatically LESS RELIANT on the 3 and turnovers.

This in part could win them a N C though and that's hard to argue with

you might consider ignoring the comments of someone who thinks enough of a 'necked out Pinto to make it his avatar. He is not the voice of Vol fans.
In fact, I would venture forth that the most knowledgeable basketball fans around this site respect BCG as a coach and understand the formidable program that he is likely to oversee at UK. Very few of those folks really care about BCG's life away from UK basketball.

As to the history lesson about UK's championships, you'll probably find a sympathetic and equally whiny group about yesteryear in AL football fans. There are several of those here. Hunt them down and PM at your leisure. Putting that stuff on the open board is just silly, because we don't care about your heritage. We're much more concerned about how the future games are going to go.

Thanks alot. I never said I was the voice of the Vols.I do,however, have no respect for Billy G and if the truth is known, he shouldn't be allowed to be in a position to influence young mens lives. I don't appreciate the comments from you about me but I think my avatar is pretty funny. Surely you don't think that I really think that a hotrodpinto is a cool car. If you think Billy G is great, you obviously don't know any more than the fact that he is Kentucky's coach. Did I miss the part where I said that I was the voice of the Volnation or something. I could say something negative about you but I chose not to bash a fellow Vol who I don't even know. Once again, thanks for your support when the UK fan attacked my post. I know you got my back anytime.

If we aren't better with Bruce's recruits then what was the point in hiring him in the first place ?

I responded to make it so. Nice piece of work in the highlighted portion. I appreciate the debating advice.

you called the man a deadbeat drunk. do you even know what a deadbeat is?

I told the other poster that you weren't the voice of the volnation, so he shouldn't use your comments as a barometer, which he was doing.

Sorry for the screw up. My son is volfan900 and when I jumped on the computer to post, I was actually logged in as him and thought I was logged in as hotrod.
