This may be a first for me. Last time I felt similar was when we tied AL back in the early 90's. I don't like the fact we lost but it was close and this team could have won. That's not what I expected. Guess you hit the bottom before you start the climb. The top of the mountain is visible again.:dance2:

I never thought it was possible to be happy with a loss. (for real). But, I am! We hit them in the mouth and came up wanting more many times. As much as I admire TTbow, I was happy to see our guys smack him around a bit (2 years in a row, really). I have never been so proud of a TN effort. This gives me real hope for the future of TN football..

I have never been this comfortable following a loss. We lost by 10, yet I'm good. Now thic cant happen again. I will be pissed after any other loss this season.

You could have been at Elmo. Not seen EB's hit on Berry. Or Jackson's demolishing of Brandon James. He will be scared ****less to run across the middle again.

Yeah, I say there will be many Vol fans pissed if we get beat but you know we will get beat. This O is limited and they play VERY conservative. The D can carry us but how far?

I don't like that we lost- but this has been the happiest loss I remember. Much better than losing on a last second FG or being blown out by 50. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol! The Glory Days are coming!

I don't think anyone is pleased with this loss. What we're pleased with is our juggernaught defense, the running game that is emerging and how gosh dang good our coaches are. Wait til CLK has a full team of his recruits. We're going to be a force.

Well I've been fortunate to have seen alot of Tennessee football teams since the late 60's .And this team has always been a roller coaster ride all of my life,it 's had it's ups and downs and yes I've been proud of them alot of times when they didn't win,but played there hearts out playing disciplined football.Today just happened to be another one of those days where we are turning the page to another era of TENNESSEE FOOTBALL.... GO VOLS!!!!!!

I am ashamed to say that I do not mind this loss - the first time I have ever walked out of a stadium after a loss and felt even remotely satisfied. Kiff has this aircraft carrier turned and headed in the right direction!

Wore my orange tonight and had several comments by passer-bys that TN looked good. Usually after a loss to FL all I get is laughs when people see my orange.

Great loss, I loved that Eric Berry knocked the hell out of Tim Tebow, I loved the fumble Tebow had in the red zone, I loved the defense, I loved our running game, I love the recruiting our coach is doing, I love the TENNESSEE VOLS. Urban Meyer will be at Notre Dame next year and Tebow will be getting the **** knocked out of him in the NFL, it can't get any better right now. GO VOLS, that loss was the best loss I could live with.

Yep....Didn't think we could win, but this is really the outcome I was hoping for....Yeah, it's sad that we're happy with a loss, but give it a year or two...Glad to see the team hold tight when we were out classed on talent.

Usually when a program starts to turn that corner & starts working its way to the top they will have that one game that opens everyones eyes to say, wow their coming. Well today i think that was the game. In 2-3 years when were winning the SECG we can all look back to today & say this is when it all started coming together.

no Tebow wont cause he will be on the bench like all those other great FL QB's in the NFL.

I am ashamed it got to this point, but it did.

Our team played as well as possible, and wasn't going to beat Florida short of quite a few mistakes which didn't occur.

Give it a few years, and we'll be very good. I do think we take the Gators next season, irregardless of our lack of depth on the line with it being early.

Perhaps we can make UF wish the game was played later, liked we used to whine about.

it's not often you play the team of the cetury with the best college player to go through any football program. i think florida gets more hype than they deserve and we proved today they aren't unbeatable. never happy to lose, but really excited about where this program is headed

Can't find many WKU left on the schedule, with that said, we may have to accept close as a possible victory. I love the way we are executing except at the most important position. In the coming years I can see great things happening to this program. However this year, may be close is as good as we get to a victory.

Moral victories suck, but i don't find myself too upset over it.

Yep, I can't help but think back to years ago when I got a big laugh out of teams that claimed a moral victory when they somehow hung with us and wasn't expected to. Guess everything comes full circle.
