Even the Bama fans find it strange

So you would want a penalty called that would have no effect on the game? Bama took possession of the ball genius. A penalty would have back THEIR offense up.

Worse case scenario, they take a knee 15yards from where the ball was recovered.

You are a rebel with out a cause:no:

how do u figure?? the penalty occurred be4 the ball was recovered........so I admit I'm not sure of the ruling.......I was assuming we'd have possession still of the ball, but actually u've got a good point.............do u know the rule on that??

yeah, the ref was looking at the 2 Bammer players and pointing to the ball, like "go get it idiots, so u can win the game." It's really obvious. wow.....all I can say is WOW

i think u are actually right this time, for once in u'r life, maybe u actually did go to USC......but u forgot about some other stuff, Captain Obvious!

1. Whether we get ball or not, the penalty should have been called, they should have had to take the knee on the next play

2. Officitating Sucked, 8 penalties to 1, very fishy

3. Headset-gate - obvious trickery

No need to make things personal, attack the post and not the poster please.

Jesus you are so laughable...what difference does it make? Either way Bama wins. I wanted Tenn to win just as bad as you did BELIEVE me.

But this all would have never happened if Tenn makes a friggin field goal. So man up..shut up..and move on kind Sir.:birgits_giggle:

trojan, 350 or so yards against the best d in the country is your definition of sucking?

agreed that special teams are a part of the game... but ut's O put them in position to score 5 times even with the disparity in penalties.

a couple of the holding calls were down right ridiculous . does anyone really believe that sullins can manhandle bama's dt's and wrestle them to the ground?

those were plays where a quick guy simply got a fat guy off balance and rode him down.

Slime has decreed it... bama and uf shalt meet undefeated in the cg.

Chill, Trojan is right. We had the opportunity. Not once, not twice, but three times to kick the game winner. The penalty at the end of the game would have had no effect on the ultimate outcome. We just have an awful kicker right now.

There will be next year. We served notice this year. We beat them the next. Sure this loss hurt, but I welcomed the hurt. I never would have had my heart broken like this last year. We're competitive again. We'll win a championship in a couple of years.

Exactly. Some of you guys have to learn how to take a close loss with a grain of salt. Whats even more impressive is that Bama hasn't even had a bye week yet. Where as Tenn had two weeks too prepare for this game. There is no excuse for Tenn not being sharp for this game.

I am on record saying that Tenn will will be a National contender in a couple of years so by all means don't try to gang up and label me a troll. Furthermore, I haven't come in here to disrespect anyone but I will not lay down either. The worse thing I have said was "shut up". And you are getting sensitive over that, perhaps football shouldn't be your sport.

Give me a break. This is absolutely untrue. However, I'm sure you started following football late in the 2002 season, so I could see why you'd have a hard time understanding all this.

Only way we get another try right there is if we recover the kick, otherwise it would have been Bama's ball with a 15 yard penalty marked off. They take one snap and the game's over. They got the call right and the game was over. The penalty disparity is my only beef with this game, that and the fact we couldn't block Cody.

You are hilarious.

First of all..Kiffin is our former offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. Hell Pete Carroll use to baby sit the guy for gods sake. So from a Trojan to a Volunteer, we want to see Kiffin do well. This is the case with most USC fans. He is still connected to our program. Since the Raiders gave him the screw job, I even root for the guy even more. Al Davis tried to destroy his character...not cool.

Secondly, Watching USC football under Paul Hackett was a very tough thing to do. One Pete took control things stated turning around. The same thing is happening at Tennessee. I see similarities between the 01-02 Trojans and the 09-10 Volunteers.

It is customary to indicate a block and point to the location of the ball for the line judge to determine if the ball went beyond the LOS.

The game is history. We should have won by 9 points, instead we lost by 2. Lets get ready for SC, we get another chance to get Bama next year (hopefully with a a different officiating crew).

Uum you guys were beat straight up. Kicking field goals are a part of the game. Both offenses sucked that night, so the game basically boiled down to special teams

actually our offense was operating at maximum capacity thank you

The conspiracy is on man and both the SEC and ESPN are in on it!

Great Game the out come would have probably been the same reguardless of the call.
The SEC can say and defend the call all they wish but the facts remain the same. The unsportsman like penaly occured before the play was over, play does not expire just because the clock does. In addition it is also clear that a game can not end on a defensive penalty. The way this game should have ended is Bama recovered the ball ending the play. Then Bama should have snapped the ball and took a knee. Game Over The real issue here is once again SEC officials have made bad calls and in this case they got in wrong twice on the same play. Lane got it right when he called them out on their calls

agreed. We Lost, I hate it and do think the refs sucked but we still lost. Nothing can change that until bama gets cught cheating again and the have to give that win back too. But for now we still lost.
