Even More Obamacare Follies

No more follies -- repeal this disaster of a law - and impeach Barry

It is not going to be repealed, that is simply plain common sense. Congress and the WH need to sit down and make it a better law. Like it or not, it is the law of the land. Any bill can be made better, including this one. This one should be easy to make better with all the flaws in it. It cannot be made perfect but it can be made workable.

You cannot reason with these folks, Gramps. They have invested everything in the mantra that Obamacare has to go. They have committed to that premise, and they knee-jerk reject anything less, because if they accept anything less, then they have lost.

For them, it is not about what is the best policy, or best for the American people. It is about winning. It is about beating Obama at all costs.

if it's the best policy why does it need to be delayed until after the elections? If it's best for the American people why are those who voted for it not pushing for immediate implementation of every statute in the law? How does the best policy leave 30 million uninsured when its stated goal is to insure every American?

it's terrible policy, will fail and will cost trillions in tax dollars to figure that out. Saying it just needs to be tweaked is insanity

This law cannot be fixed, when you work on a car and 99% of it needs to be replaced, it's not a fix it's a rebuild.

It is not the government's business to dictate health care. This is not a hard concept to understand.

How is losing health insurance good for American people? How is paying more good for American people? How is not being able to choose good for American people?

How do you respond when in fact the best policy is to get rid of Obamacare?

This law cannot be fixed, when you work on a car and 99% of it needs to be replaced, it's not a fix it's a rebuild.

We will, starting in November .

Do any of you see Obamacare actually being repealed ?

If the GOP wins control of the Senate in November and Congress does vote to repeal and sends to Obama , Obama will veto and there will not be a 2/3rd majority to override his veto.

It's gonna be nothing but another Medicare/ssn disaster but on a grander scale. The working man pays while the moochers benefit. You're probably right about making it work though but we'll be 50 trillion in debt a lot sooner than later because of it.

Some are being delusional thinking this is going to be appealed. Common sense says otherwise, No way it has any chance of being repealed before 1-20-17. It doesn't matter if one likes the law or not , it is reality.

Your love of it only stems from the fact it benefits you. Your being very hopeful.

I don't see it getting repealed. But it is the best option to do so.

It would have benefited me had my wife and I had not been able to purchase insurance a couple of years ago. Research my post you can read all about it. I will soon be on Medicare, now that will benefit me.

Where did I ever say I loved it ?

I have always said it has some good things and more bad things.

I am not "being hopeful" as you say. I am simply looking at it realistically. It is not going to be appealed as long as Obama is in the WH. Anyone with an IQ of 60+ should realize that.

I was watching the John Boehner interview on the Kelly File last night when the subject of this came up. He did bring up a good point that without a Democrat controlled Senate, Obama would be in the position to have to make the decisions himself as Harry Reid won't be around to run interference for him anymore.

Obama may very well veto any attempts to overturn it if the Senate goes Republican this fall. But the choice will be on him instead of having that additional buffer zone that keeps him from making the hard choices.

Of course that's providing Reid doesn't suggest a change back to the old filibuster rules just before the elections this fall and if it's a foregone conclusion the Senate changes hands. Not that he would ever do anything shady like that. Like ever...
