Even More Obamacare Follies

What's the lie?

And what's so horrible about Americans getting health care treatment?

Oh I forgot--they're POORS! They deserve to suffer.

C'mon man cut the poor crap - LG tactics IMHO.

The lie that was repeated is that adding this coverage will lower HC costs since it was the uninsured who were using ER services. It was a fallacious argument used to sell the plan.

the other big fallacious arguments:

keep your plan and keep your doctor

average family costs going down $2200

existing plans were crap

preventative care will actually be used by the uninsured so HC costs will come down (see ER argument)

and to me the big kicker - even after full implementation 1/2 or more of the originally uninsured will remain uninsured.

Velo - here are the lies and misinformation with regard to this particular issue

Oregon Study Exposes Another ObamaCare Falsehood: Rather Than Reduce Unnecessary ER Use, Medicaid Increases It - Forbes

Quotes from Obama

[O]ne of the areas where we can potentially see some saving is a lot of those patients are being seen in the emergency room anyway, and if we are increasing prevention, if we are increasing wellness programs, we’re reducing the amount of emergency room care…

[T]hose of us with health insurance are also paying a hidden and growing tax for those without it — about $1,000 per year that pays for somebody else’s emergency room and charitable care…If there are affordable options and people still don’t sign up for health insurance, it means we pay for these people’s expensive emergency room visits.

The final bill [will] make sure that people are getting the care they need and the checkups they need and the screenings they need before they get sick — which will save all of us money and reduce pressures on emergency rooms all across the country.

You can’t get those savings if those people are still going to the emergency room.

[P]eople are no longer going to the emergency room and they now have good health care, they’re now getting preventive care.

[W]e’re obviously pleased with developments in Ohio and in states across the country where the decision to expand Medicaid has been made, because…that creates enormous benefits for those states in terms of reducing costs in emergency rooms…
This last one is from Jay Carney

I dont know if this has been posted but its a gem so I thought I would share if it hasn't been..Damn sheeple are starting to wake up but it's to late now, they built this. Enjoy fools!

An Oregon mother, who has been a “cheerleader” for Obamacare, now says she can’t afford health insurance for her and her 18-month-old son due to regulations included in the Affordable Care Act.

Kate Holly, 33, told KOIN-TV that she has been a strong supporter of Obamacare because she thought the health care law “was designed for people in my situation.” The mother, a freelance yoga instructor, joins a growing list of Obamacare supporters who have expressed shock that they can’t afford to enroll in the law they supported.

Maybe she can get a real job.

Gotta love the irony ...stupid low information voters. Yes We Can...lmao

People just now understanding ALL of the campaign speeches that the Dems put out there were lies just to win an election. Why not start calling it the UN-affordable care act. They might have 2.1 million signed up but I wonder how many have actually paid into it yet. I pity the fool that has. It's a waste of money. Even Barry want use the bronze plan he bought cause he knows it's a pos.

SIAP

Despite the Obama administration’s huge ObamaCare public relations campaign, one Democratic lawmaker says she thinks Americans aren’t signing up because they think the law was repealed.

Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., told MSNBC on Monday she believes one of the reasons enrollment for the new health care law is much lower than expected is Republican lawmakers have convinced the public it is no longer law.

Democratic lawmaker: ObamaCare enrollment is low because millions think it was repealed | Fox News

Seriously? Is someone actually that...

Never mind, someone is always that dumb

Seriously, what an idiot that works for the people in Washington. How these people (Democrats) get elected in the first place is beyond my thinking. Never mind that 94% of Americans (310 million) are aware that it's currently the Law of the Land as they like to call it.

Most were waiting to get pinched. Of course they won't miss a couple hundred bucks from their free H&R block money.

This Democratic lawmaker believes that some Americans actually think that the law was repealed. Even though there's tons of information out there, on a daily basis, to let the public know that that's not the case. Just another dumb no-name Democratic lawmaker making statements & showing their ignorance that they really don't have a clue of what they speak. All they do is make appearances at their rallies & say stupid crap to their idiotic fan base more of what MSNBC already regurgitates.

Well, Michael Moore doesn't support it:

Michael Moore: 'ObamaCare is awful' | Fox News

However, for completely different reasons. While the ACA is just a step away from the single payer government system, ole Michael wants to completely go commie and have the government run everything. Because, of course, the government is so awesome at running things.

Now the WH is claiming they never said 7 million was the goal...Good Lord it's comical how they just make stuff up.

7 million Obamacare customers? - Carrie Budoff Brown and Jason Millman - POLITICO.com

In June, Sebelius described 7 million consumers in the first year as a “realistic target.” One day before HealthCare.gov launched Oct. 1, NBC News asked Sebelius: “What does success look like?”
“Well, I think success looks like at least 7 million people having signed up by the end of March 2014,” she responded.

The article rightly points out that the mix of enrollees is likely more important but it's no surprise that the most transparent administration in history will not release demographic information on enrollees to date.
