Too much talent and too much speed not to have the ball in his hands more!!

One of the biggest failures of this coaching staff this year. Evan Berry should be on the field other than special teams - period! Looks like Mark Jones or Christian McCaffrey to me. He could play anywhere.

I have to agree, he maybe the the most dynamic player on this team with the ball in his hands!

You would think if he can field a kick off he could catch a pass, and that would be fun to watch his yac.

They said the same thing about his brother for 3 years. He's now a Pro Bowl DB. There are tons of return men that play defense.

There is no doubt the youngster is a playmaker. The staff needs to find a way for him to be on the field more somewhere somehow.

Just seems like he is a home run threat from anywhere on the field with the ball in his hands and that seems to be something we are lacking right now plus speed, speed, and more speed.

I could see him in a little limited work as long as he isn't the starter on D. I bet he could make some noise running the jet sweep.

I agree with the Mark Jones comparison. One of the most wasted talents to ever come through Knoxville. Its a shame it took the coaching staff three years to figure out he was a better receiver than he was a safety. Hope the same doesnt happen with Berry. Go Vols

You think the coaching staff hasn't at least considered it? You think there may be a reason for it? It takes a lot more than being able to catch a ball in order to be a successful receiver.

If he wins the starting Safety job nah. If he is the number 3 or backup relief yah we need to bring him in on those jet sweeps and bubble screen plays. He would be a pretty good slot WR I would imagine.

Hey Jackwagon, he has instincts that can't be taught. At some point the "art" is greater than the "science."

He shouldn't be on O permanently but they should add some jet sweeps or wildcat for him a couple times a game

I think we should move him to WR/RB.

He hasnt impressed at Safety imo. I would like to see Gaulden and Kelly at safety next year.

Really? He is behind on the depth chart but when he's gotten to play he has shown improvement with each game. With another offseason under his belt I think all 3 will be even.
