They would be the lead candidate.

I also would not rule out Britain looking to re-constitute their colonial ways.

Once a nation is overwhelmed with poor and starving citizens due to hyper-inflation, said government has a much easier time justifying war for resources. A hypothetical war for such aims would be a drastically different affair than the recent wars have been for "noble causes".

My guess they would look past Eastern Europe and fix upon Iran. Personally I find it slightly funny that history has a funny way of repeating itself.
