Both of these commits are from the state of Ohio but according to Rivals neither have offers from Ohio State. If and when they were to get offers what would the odds be that they do to us what Santos did when he got a last minute offer from Texas?

Sorry if there has already been a thread started about this.

Negative Nancy! Not sure if you are trolling or not. There is a lot of time until signing day. The truth is anything could happen but I sure as hell am enjoying this ride.

The way it looks to me is IF they were to get offers from osu and decided to visit, they would no longer be considered a part of this class for the Vols. I think both kids have probably spoke with osu coaches and felt Tennessee was the place for them.

That is the most confusing statement I have ever read. Retype that in english.

Saulsberry and Williams are both from Gainsville but neither had a UF offer from CUM. Muschamp was hired and tried to swoop in at the last minute to no avail. I'm not worried with these guys. Just like the two I mentioned I think these guys might actually be INSULTED by an OSU offer late in the game. Means their recruitment over them didn't pan out, so they're now falling back on them.

We'll never beat OSU for all of them, but we've always done well in Ohio historically. I see that trend continuing.

A late offer by Texas didn't seem to insult Santos. But Santos grew up a huge Texas fan. Maybe Wolf and Henderson grew up wanting to play in the SEC.

Well consider me one of the "some folks" as well, because I have no idea what that meant.

Translation: LV is operating under the theory that our commits are not allowed to take visits to other schools once they commit (whether he is right, I have no idea).

Wasn't it almost a given that Santos was gone if offered by Texas?

They are Vols. 100%. Until they say otherwise, there is no need to speculate that they might go elsewhere.

Fair question I think.
As long as Urban Meyer and tOSU are lurking there is always a chance.
I asked the same question about Von Bell the night before signing day and got flamed by the many 'insiders' on here.

:good!:

I think if a current commit decides to visit anywhere else(offer in hand or not), they will not be considered a Vol by our staff going forward.

I guess we will find out if you're right in the fall. I have a hard time believing that if Hurd or TKjr visits somewhere else (hypothetical scenario) that Butch would not consider them a Vol.

Hurd took 7 visits to schools other than UT and Kelly took 13 visits other than UT before choosing to be a Vol. I think they had seen enough and did not need future visits to know where they wanted to be.

Not quite sure what was so negative about the question, but no I am not trolling. I was just thinking about it this morning and was wondering what others think.

But, I apologize for asking a question that apparently was over your head.

I swear it gets so irritating when people bring this crap up. There vols should be enough. The only thing more irritating is when people say discuss it in there thread. Listen these player threads get lengthy and most of the time off topic, I don't feel like going through all the crap to find out a little bit of info.

First, Jones & staff have been in on these two for a long time. They have established real relationships. Second, these two know they will be going to a traditional power in the SEC - the nation's premier conference. Third, the current commitment class is ranked #1 in the country on Rivals. Why walk away from something that special? Fourth, the Dools factor. Santos not only openly stated before his verbal that he was always a Texas fan, but he was also being recruited by a Vol coaching staff and program in turmoil. Didn't take a genius to figure that one out when his Texas offer came.

I don't see what the big deal is about asking this question. After the santos situation I think not is a fair question to ask. Don't see how it makes the guy a troll for asking.
