Same thing happened in Atlanta.
Lol every time there is a coaching search there is this same tired theory. If it's a HC they're going to announce Gruden during the SECC to get media coverage during the game ( Freeze being the exception here ). If it's a coordinator they're going to announce Randy Shannon as DC during the national title game or Army All American game. And it never has or will work out that way.I joke in all seriousness, not really a issue. I expect a announcement on who it is after Wednesday.
Personally I lean towards Sark. And it be probably Friday at some point.
Have the 24 hour coverage, couple of big commitments during the all star games on Saturday. And get a solid 48 hours of positive coverage during a big 4 day stretch of football.
One possible scenario is that Kitchens was the "verbal" several weeks ago, but his stock has shot up in the last month making the deal voided by both parties. Possible, but who knows...Will be interesting when this all comes out (presuming that it eventually does - the radio silence so far is amazing) to see who we actually offered vs who Pruitt interviewed but passed on. I am just hoping that if Pruitt and Co have a firm verbal with someone they have decided on a few weeks ago, that person actually comes on board. Lots can happen between a verbal and a signed contract.
Based on Yurcich's system, it would have been a strange fit, in any case. Makes more sense at Ohio St.
