Lol the top 9 are all SEC and B10 teams and that's AFTER Michigan lost.

These two conferences are going to own college football for decades.

ND dropped 4 to 10. Which I don't get they have struggled on the road and at home...they're just not a T10 team
All the quant polls have issues in the first few weeks. Really takes a good 4-6 games before they can be effective, so they are mostly using 'old data' from last year still.

Of course, you could say the same thing about the human pollsters.

I love the polls. But honestly we will know in three weeks whether we have a 1-10th ranked team or “just” a top 25 team. 5-0 after ou and ark, top ten. 1-1, 0-2………

Looks like a big logjam at the top of the SEC. Will be interesting to see how that plays out as the season wears on.

Not to okay it, but I think part of what keeps ND consistently over ranked is the multi-million dollar exposure they get from their..... NBC?...... TV deal.

Longhorn Network propped up TX when they were "not back" also.

This is an entertainment business. Getting exposure for your brand helps.

You can see it in the NFL with Dallas: massive lucrative brand, mediocre results.

I think ND is one of the best college athletics marketing organizations but a very long way from having the best teams.
