Those were my thoughts too. It is on a points system though so maybe UT gets bonus points for All-Americans like King and Houston.

So where do you expect is to be ranked if we are ranked? I expected after Bama but before fl and now I don't know where we end up at since we weren't mentioned before fl.

I dont really have an answer. I really would have thought UT would have made the top 50. With the exception of the Houston years and Buzz ball, UT has had a decent program. I would definately have thought UT was ahead of Bama. But now that Florida has been mentioned I don't know. I would have expected UT to be somewhere between LSU and UF. Again, maybe UT's long term "above average" trumps UF's recent top 10-15 program status.

I looked at this list yesterday. It's not subjective, it's mathematically based on records, tourney appearances, etc over 50 years. Kinda hard to believe we are going to be on that list with only 10 years of basketball out of 50 that are worth mentioning.

That "zero Final Four appearances" is such a glaring hole.

I don't expect us to be on this list, last 10-15 years maybe, but CBB is defined by the tournament, & we've been to one Elite 8

This is what I was waiting to see someone post. No getting around this one. Butler had back to back runner ups as well as George Mason, VCU and Gonzaga having tourney success. How do you see that all playing out??

10 out of 50? I don't think it was as bad as all that.

I feel the same way about everything that was mentioned. If we aren't ranked I would be a little shocked.

They are down in the low 20's now. Doesn't look like it's going to happen. be curious to see if they post 51-300 just to see where UT fell.

Why is Murray State on that list? They play in a weak conference that's gotten decent recently but seriously? Kind of stupid IMO. I read the tidbit of how they won their tournament and have winning records for so many years but seriously? Weak.
