Tennessee comes in at 15. Once FSU came in at 14 with the reason being 1990s dominance, I knew we had to be next.

"Mark Schlabach, ESPN.com: Mr. Maisel is obviously an ambulance chaser. Loves watching train wrecks."

"Pat Forde, ESPN.com: You know you just picked a 5-7 team now coached by Lane Kiffin, right?"

What do you mean, espn loves us!

15. Tennessee Volunteers, selected by Ivan Maisel
All right, so Tennessee is changing the fight song from Rocky Top to Rocky Start. May I remind you that Lane Kiffin is undefeated? Seriously, I've got a team that has spent most of the last 50 years near or at the top of the toughest league in football. I've got a fan base that hits six figures for every home game. I've got the Volunteer Navy. I've got checkerboard end zones. But I've got to do something about that color

Sorry about the pointless thread, i just needed a place to vent...proceed with Fall practice reports and GO VOLS!

Screw them! Janzen Jackson is # 15, we're no.1.

Also, are we going to get any news on first practice today?

It will be great to listen to these guys talk about how great Kiffin is when they beat Florida

They claim they are trying to make a 'modernized' list of elite teams, then pick Miami #24 and Notre Dame at #9???

yea, that list was bogus. south carolina got in before arkansas. correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't arkansas actually won their division recently?

You could replace recently with ever and still be right

hahaha, i used recently to point out that arkansas has still been more relevant than USCjr over the past few years, not just historically. the list is dumb.

I'm assuming that it was because South Carolina has a heisman winner as opposed to Arky, and that the guys at ESPN really like spurrier still

South Carolina in 100+ years of football has-

13-win seasons- 0
12-win seasons- 0
11-win seasons- 0
10-win seasons- 1
09-win seasons- 1
08-win seasons- 7

4-10 Bowl record

Went 8-2 in 1903, did not win 8 games again in a season until 1979.

Just sayin'.
