HARDY HAR HAR go ahead and stroke your conference ego. Just like stoops said, the middle of the road SEC isn't any better than any other conference. Of course that is where Tennessee has been the past decade, so your going to take offense to it.
percentages of SEC teams represented in the top final top 15 rankings over the past decade as well as strength of schedule rankings don't agree.
I just googled through the years rankings and will say more affirmatively than ever that YOU SIR ARE INCORRECT!
can we get back to the game at hand now?
its going to be tough for the vols but, I look forward to the game
SOS is purely based on opinion, just like polls. Only the SEC and ESPN actually believe that the SEC is the hardest conference to win in. Texas A&M and Misery proved that was a load of bull hockey.
I have respect for a few teams from the SEC, UT being one of them, but there are always 10 teams getting a false boost in SoS because they play in the same conference as LSU and Bama.
If you think we've been middle of the road the past decade then you haven't been paying attention. We've been middle of the road 3 out of the past 10 seasons and cellar dwellers the other 7. Middle of the road is a couple of seasons away.

Pretty good job hummm!Discount those 2 games. The coaches were working on packages and timing. They never opened up the playbook, just played vanilla, just as UT did in their first 2 games.
Stoops had a chance once to 'hang a hundred' on Texas A&M. He called off the dogs at halftime the second and third string still scored 3 more touchdowns before they were ordered not to score again.
Stoops doesn't hate the SEC. What he hates is the media making it look like the SEC is unbeatable. He's done a pretty good job of beating most of the SEC teams he has coached against at OU.
Shut up with this nonsense. Maybe, just maybe, a middle of the road big 12 team exposed that its not that difficult to come into the SEC and contend. Those two programs aren't insanely better now because they are in the SEC. aTm beat Alabama with big 12 players, and Mizzou won the SEC East with mostly big 12 players. But please, spin it how ever makes you feel good.
Pretty good job hummm!
OU's Bob Stoops: 3-4
L Ole Miss 1999
W Arkansas 2001
W Alabama 2002
W Alabama 2003
L LSU 2003
L Florida 2008
L Texas A&M 2012
Arkansas 2001 7-5, Alabama 2002 10-3, Alabama 2003 4-9
Convenient SEC logic - leaving off the Bama '13 win. Ole Miss was Stoops first year, and we went 7-5, and they won on a last second kick. LSU and Florida were competitive games, NC games no less, and home games for LSU and Florida, respectively. Bama in '03 was ranked, I believe around #20 when we played early in the year. It's easy to make the narrative fit whatever agenda you're trying to push. Just look at Finebaum and ESPN.
A&M is obviously an SEC "powerhouse", coughwhocouldn'tbeatuswhentheywereintheBig12cough. That SEC patch gives SPECIAL POWERS, so I'll give you that one.
You should combine A&M and Missouri into Stoops' win loss record. They're the same teams the last two years as they were in the Big 12.
Cracks me up how simply being in the SEC completely changes the narrative of those two also-rans.....

I'm shocked ESPN isn't saying UT would score 100 points on OU because SEC! SEC! SEC!
OU won't score 100 points. I doubt they even score half of that. It's going to be a good game between 2 storied programs. There's no need by anyone to disrespect either team. At least they had the **lls to schedule each other when teams like Baylor are scheduling low tier FCS schools.
Besides, ESPN said Bama would beat OU by 20+ in the Sugar Bowl. Look how that turned out for them.
