ESPN SEC east surprise team...

Could have a shot? Sure.

If you lose you still have a shot considering where the east is right now. If you lose you'll probably need to sweep USCe and UGA, but they are not far enough ahead of UT or UF for that not to be possible. The winner is in the mix with a split against USCe and UGA.

Definitely got a shot if defense gets comfortable and offense is as good as it sounds.

Yea I think we beat Florida, but if we lose two SEC games this year we will need help from Some other teams. We either have to beat Georgia and have USCe beat them as well. It will be tough to do with UGA's schedule. But because of their schedule we will probably have to win 10 or 11 to stay relevant in the EAST title chase.

Although the Florida game is important as far as winning the east, I think the Georgia game is even more important. UGA plays a really weak schedule, and If we lose the head to head with them, they will likely win the east. We still have to play Bama and they don't. We lose to them and Bama, then they would have to lose 3 games since they won the head to head. Not gonna happen with that easy schedule.

I'm ready to be the FAVORITE to win the East and SEC again. I'm sick of being the "surprise team" or the "dark horse" team.

A surprise team is better than not being mentioned at all. That being said even I could have said the winner of the UT UF game was going to give Georgia or South Carolina something to think about.

Maybe it's better, but it damned sure isn't something worth celebrating. I'm ready for our fanbase to be pissed about NOT being the favorite again.

I don't like where we are at. I'm just saying this is really the first yr we have really had a chance to do anything since dd got here. IMO also I'm ready to win again as well.

Agreed.

We haven't even been the "dark horse" or "surprise team" lately.

I agree but I've got a good feeling this team has been motivated and united to come out and prove all the doubters wrong. I feel like being a "dark horse" is a good thing for this team this year and they're feeding off it. But yes I usually would prefer to be the favorite.

The last game I was able to be at was the 98 Florida game. Well I just picked up my tickets for the Florida game this year. Let's hope we get the same result.

May not happen again for a very long time. Florida has easy pickings in recruiting and Georgia and usce are only gonna tread water at the least. Mizzou is a dark horse as a newcomer as well. Lots of quality programs to be a full head above them all
