There is an Insider article I can't read that is teased with how UT can crack the Top 25 with a bigtime O and a more disruptive D. Anyone care to summarize to prove that maybe ESPN doesn't hate us quite as much?

What a shocking revelation. With a big time O and disruptive D any team can crack the top 25.

24 hour news/ information is ruining the world....I guess you have fill space with something. Oh yeah, ESPN hates UT.

I hope people realize that while making the top 25 would be an improvement, Tennessee doesn't really have to be good to get there.

Phil Steele has the Vols with a top 20 offense and top 25 defense, yet has the Vols ranked at 27.

Its definitely possible, and I expect the Vols to be in the top 25 at some point during the season

All I know is for the past few years some of the teams ranked over has made me sick to my stomach.....how far we have fallen. I pray for our men to kick the SEC East door in and....

Brays development, best WR corps in CFB, offensive line improvement, Defense forcing more errors, favorable schedule. All stuff we've heard before

That, accompanied with our special teams, should put us at about 150.

Not exactly a breakthrough article...it basically says if we improve on all aspects of the game, and Bray gets rid of his "lazy habits" then we will break the Top 25...NO KIDDING! Although I thought it was interesting that Joyner said we had one of the top (if not the best!) receiving corps in the SEC. Nice to finally hear that from ESPN and I actually agree with it too...

8-4 or better in the SEC will likely get a top 25 ranking. 8-4 is the worst case scenerio IMO. That would occur if UT lost to:

1) Bama (expected)
2) UF (you know the history here, UT has a solid chance))
3) UGA (UGA is better right now, UT could win though)
4) USC (game is at USC, UT will be dogs)

After those 4 games, the rest of the schedule sets up nice for 8 wins plus however many UT can pull out of the list above. MSU is a potential trap game, but UT should nail that one down. Win the 8 games not mentioned above and maybe one upset from that list and UT is 9-3 or better. That spells top 25 all day.

Article states 8 wins like that would be a great result. This team can do more, and i would expect an article about how TN will have a big year would predict more than 8 wins. That proves it - ESPN still hates us.

It makes sense. He is factoring in our special teams. We have the ability to be one of the worst teams in the nation in all kicking aspects.
