lol, also said RS like 2-3 days ago. I admit, I bit on that one. No point until a DC is announced is my opinion. Hopefully it's Narduzzi.

It's b/c Roussell (spelling?) tweeted this morning that Green had accepted the job. Only problem is that the man hasn't even got in town yet to interview. I'm tired of the baseless rumors and speculation. He may be the next DC but he hasn't got the job yet.

It's possible the interview took place at SA coaches convention

For those that don't have Insider on ESPN here is the complete text the OP is referring to. Doesn't sound like they are report a rumor.

"Justin Wilcox left as defensive coordinator at Tennessee for Washington. Names such as Randy Shannon and Ron Zook were hot items in conjunction with the recently vacated position. Alabama's Sal Sunseri was believed to be the next in line.

In the end, Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley decided to go Green. Buddy Green.

"Sources close to the situation have informed me that Buddy Green has accepted the DC job at Tennessee," Pete Roussel of CoachingSearch.com reported.

Green leaves Navy for Rocky Top after a decade of service as the Midshipmen's defensive coordinator. Green is well versed in a 34 defensive front, the system he employed during his time at Annapolis. Whether or not he chooses to make the change at Tennessee, a traditional 43 defense in recent years, will be a major decision."

Until he is officially announced as DC, I will stand by he is being hired as a position coach. SS may have changed that but that's my stance.
