I think we have a billion confirmed new coaches for next season by now.

Still, this is the first thing I've seen that says Cutcliffe has not, in fact, turned down the job.

lol, we need to review the term reported and the difference between reporting an event and reporting on reports.

Let's see...do we really want Cutcliffe as our next coach? At Ole Miss he was 44-29 overall and 25-23 in the SEC. SEC West Division title in 2003 when they went 10-3, but wait...in 2004 they were 4-7 after the departure of Manning. Do we really, I mean, REALLY wanna sign back up for this mediocrity in the SEC?

And he was playing with what kind of talent?

I'm watching espnews now. They said Skip and WM said no. Calhoun the verdict is still out on. Answer was not definite. Cut is 4 down on current list they showed with Kippy 5th.

At this rate I am waiting for the announcement that Gary Rankin is leaving Alcoa and taking over at UT. Seriously, who HASN'T been mentioned as the next HC? So far I have heard:

Gruden
Dungy
Cowher
Smart
Patterson
Petersen
Whittingham
Mendenhall
Dooley
Cutcliffe
Muschamp
Calhoun
Sumlin
Gundy
Steele
Brown
Edsall
Fulmer
Garner
Malzahn
Taylor
????
Who are we missing here other than the Virgin Mary?

Please not Calhoun or Cut. I feel so bad what we did to CPF. This is hard to say but, I want him back. Or atleast as AD. Corey Miller will Decommit if Calhoun comes.

the link you posted is just relaying the (seeimingly) other 2 premature reports saying that cutcliffe had been named head coach. it's no more legitimate than either of those.

lol...sounds like a Ponzi scheme. This really blows. Isn't Corey Miller already on campus and enrolled? I did read where he said he wasn't at all interested in UT when Fulmer was here..said it was "slow-paced". ha

Just heard Bob Kesling on WUMP AM 730 here in Huntsvile say that Cutcliffe is the man, but said not to use him as a source. Was on at about 4:15 central time.
