ESPN Recruiting Ranks Us.....

Previous years don't help us land prospects now. Kids are making decisions earlier and earlier now.

Again, prove it. The other guy said that more and more prospects were committing early - meaning that it's happening at a higher rate than it did in previous years. I just want some hard evidence to back it up.

Until then, I have no reason to believe that Tennessee won't surge late like they always do.

I'm sorry I don't have a snapshot of what kids did last year, but considering how many commits we have, compared to last year, and still being ranked near the bottom of the conference rankings, it's pretty obvious that 8 -10 guys won't pull us up where we need to be.

I've been following recruiting for a while now, and to be honest, we don't have near the recruiting prowess we once enjoyed here at UT. We are currently outside the top 25, and just looking at the commit lists of other schools, it's going to be hard for us to get up past 15 this year.

You want stats look em up. I know what I've seen from years of following recruiting.

I'm not saying ESPN hates us, but year after year they have us behind Scout and Rivals.

Because they don't count JUCOs. Until we catch up to the point where we only go after the occasional JUCO player, our rankings are not going to appear favorable on some recruiting websites.

Considering how many of the Top 250 players are committed, we don't have many to choose from, and most we aren't going to land any way.

Damn, what a negative take! We are still in on some great talents, not to mention another JUCO DT who we more than likely lead for. Don't forget we are still working Lawson, and have a legit shot at getting 2 insanely talented DEs(Lawson and Hatcher) to play JACK LB in our 3-4 base(Our D-line will be sick).

I'm also curious to see how Zanca grades out after playing his senior year at MLB. Coach Sal is really high on this kid and must see something he likes. A little early to be freaking out. If this is our commit list in mid January, I promise to join you for the meltdown.
