By the end of this season, they'll be comparing Hurd to Adrian Peterson rather than Fournette.

He's been drawing Eddie George comparisons since he walked on campus... from Eddie George himself, even.

I think these rankings are based only on backs not OL, if it were then that means Vols OL should be ranked that high also figuring ing RB's to help with their rankings.

I really like Hurd but that's highly unlikely. Gurley was the closest we have seen since AP IMO and even he wasn't comparable. Hurd would have to have an almost historic season to be lumped in with AP. With Kamara in the backfield I don't see that happening.

You guys are so freaking stat obsessed around here. I'm not talking numbers. I'm talking style of play. I'm talking about the big, fast, strong RB that will bulldoze guys as well run right by them. If you watched the Iowa bowl game, the commentators were comparing Hurd to Marcus Allen.

Hurd is 6'3" 240lbs. and still has that 4.4 speed. He'll be getting all types of freaky comparisons this season based on his RUNNING STYLE not statistical production. His stats will be really good though.

Then all you had to do was mention his STYLE. Just stating that people will be comparing him to AP insinuates his numbers will be comparable. I get your point.
