I think Muschamp is still the odds favorite for the simple reason he is not a H.C and has some play to move. Going after another H.C puts us in the same scum boat as USC. With Muschamp at $1 million and playing backseat right now to Brown for who knows how long the right offer can swing him over. Patterson would be solid but considering his new package, ain't going to happen.

Everyone keeps saying Muschamp would jump for Texas. I would say the real risk with him would be jumping for UGA if Richt gets fired.

I do like the fact that Patterson has no buyout at TCU though. I would say he just may be the guy.

Doesn't Muschamp have the Hc -in-waiting at Texas just like Joker had at Ky?

As long as the guy stays for long than a year, is all i ask. I can't go through this every year.

Yes, but who knows how much longer Mack Brown will be at Texas. He could be there for another five years. Why wait around for a few years as a DC when you could make a lot more money as a HC now? Everyone seems to think that Texas is his dream job and that he wouldn't leave, but I'm not so sure about that.

I would describe his offense at Clawson-y. Lot of slip screens, short passes, etc...

Somewhere between spread and west coast.

That said, I have no expertise on the subject, that's just what it looks like to me.

to a Vol fan. That was the worst Vol offense in the history of our school.

Just saw on ESPN that Gary Patterson hasn't been contacted by Vol officials nor meet with them, looks like he is out of the picture.

Says he hasn't spoken to anyone with UT. Probably true, but you can bet his agent has, so technically he's telling the truth.
Says he has no plans to speak with us, but if his agent tells him about the parameters of an offer, then he can make plans to speak with us.
His statement is standard coach speak.

I might be wrong but I think he is getting HC salary now.

FWIW, sources at AFA reporting that a football team meeting is scheduled at 3:50 Mountain time today...

Their DC, DeRuyter, is in Texas interviewing for the DC spot at A&M. This is either to tell players that DeRuyter is leaving them or Calhoun is leaving them.

Man I say we hire me! You hear that Mike? Me. I play madden like a pro and I'll do it for free so that I can surround myself with a killer staff. I already got dungy on board as well as peyton manning as my QB coach and the ghost of Gen. Neyland as my assc. HC in charge of recruiting and haunting kiffEn for eternity
