Remember the play against Arkansas on the kick off when there was about 10 missed tackles and we made Sports center top 10 for the wrong reason.

It was a punt return and unfortunately yes I remember.

Hurd just had shoulder surgery...again. Had his shoulder scoped. Time to gameplan without him in the picture. I doubt he will last a full season.

Does anyone still doubt that we'll enter the 2015 season rated in the top 25? I even heard ole Finebaum arguing with a gator fan last week and stated that he had no doubt that we would beat them in the swamp. Shoot Booger thinks we'll win the east. It's been years since we've had this much positive momentum heading into a season. The Tennessee dynasty in it's infancy!

back to back top 5 recruiting classes and returning 18 of 22 starters will do that. for once, we actually have logical reasons to believe we are in for a special season.

We need to temper expectations. We have brought in great talent. They have limited to no experience and development. It will take this season and then next to expect great things. Butch needs another great year of recruiting and another year to install his system and another year for these youngsters to grow up/mature.

The ship is sailing in the right direction, but we have a long way to go.

Top 25 is in reach, IF we stay healthy and play well with discipline.

2016 should bode well

why?

have you ever played competitive sports? no one goes into a game saying "hey guys lets temper expectations....we might not win today." we gotta believe we can win every game. I for one am not gonna "temper expectations." IMO our goal this year should be a national title. And I'm glad most of the players see it the same way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw6ikJ1lYq8

I've never seen you post anything good about our Vols.

You seem like a typical Troll to me.

Did you get ignored by everyone before for being a Troll and get a new name just to Troll here again?

Eyes are watching you Troll so just go back to the board of whatever team you love and keep the fear of our footVol team in your heart because we ARE coming for you.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Dude....chill. Pointing out a fact that could adversely affect our football team is not the definition of trolling.

All of the players will enter every game with the expectation to win. We as fans need to recognize that the vast majority of our stud players are freshman and sophomores. Whether we as fans like it or not, believe or choose not to believe, it will create limitations. This team can be great! But we need to temper our expectation so we don't jump off the ledge if young players make mistakes. And yes I would tell you in advance that unless you've played sports professionally, I've likely played more organized sports than you.

I like 10-2. I was 8-4 but the Debord hiring raised my hopes. Mainly because he's an Oline man and that was my big concern. Also I like his experience. This staff has way to many youngsters. I assume they will be calling him DeGramps

Team full of freshmen and sophomores. Fan base is punch drunk with a big win against a slow and a bad Iowa team. Great recruiting but in our conference to play with the big boys you have to have consistent great recruiting and development for YEARS. We are just starting. Our freshmen maybe playing up against redshirt seniors and juniors with equal talent and great coaching. It takes time for seasoning of these great talented young guys. I hope we beat everyone but I won't expect it and I won't be surprised if we drop 4-5 games. I expect a better season than this year and no more. Some expect 2 losses and I would love it if it was true....just would be suprised if it happened

The season is long and you need experienced depth to weather the storm. We aren't quite there yet. Ole Miss had a great year with you g recruits and had their season explode in front of their eyes towards the end. Depth wasn't there

All of the love for Arkansas is ridiculous. They have won two SEC games in as many years. They finished strong and will be a pretty good team next year, but people are getting way ahead of themselves.

They won 2 SEC games but they are a lot better than their record. Look at their 2 wins.
