Hahaha they did? I think most everyone thought we had an all-star coaching staff.

No Lane by himself. After we added Monte and O, the media bought in.

Remember, what has he done, losing record, he's young, but he can recruit.

The media ripped us after Hamilton hired Kiffin too. They shut up when he landed the top 10 recruiting class and proved we were for real on the field. Unfortunately the turned out to be a jerk and left. However, the media is going to say what they want and there is only one way to shut them up. Lets just hope Dooley can do that. If he recruits as well as I hear he does, and he can put a good staff around him, he probably will.

CC makes a whole helluva lot more money than you do by talking this stuff to the world.

A lot of important people feel he knows what he is doing, wonder how they feel about your opinion.

Lost causes don't tend to make qtr's of millions of dollars a year talking sports.

Valid points, but he is not paid because he is right; he is paid because he drives ratings, which drives revenue. However, he does have great incite and is right a lot.

Cowherd is joke any way. If you've listened to him over the last few days, he's a west coast guy and loves usc. And if you got to hear or see him thur, he had Herchel Walker on and was showing his gayness. He had Herchel take his shirt off, Cowherd was slobbering about
Herchel's body. It was pathetic the way he went on and on about him. :lolabove:

its not about this class or anything but gettin the best coach.. I think it is Kippy or Sumlin.

Sumlin is Still Killin Dooley in an online poll in this section.. thought he would be catching up but he isnt..

Not one for conspiracy theories but wouldn't put it past an anti-Hamilton element for dumping names out there as "insider sources" just to make him look bad and get him fired. No way a guy scared to death for his job AND sitting on a Kiffin debacle would go around being so blatantly incompetent as riding the coaching rollercoaster like this.

I'm holding on to this thought myself. I'm praying that MH doesn't prove us wrong.

Cowturd was crying today about how much potential USC punishment would hurt HIS show's ratings in LA.

I am nearly speechless! How does a 4-8 record in the WAC qualify for a SEC Head Coach position. All the talk about Dooley's recruiting feats means nothing, those recruits did not commit to LSU for Dooley, it was because of Nick Saban! Now that being said, the deal is done and I will support him. It is an entirely different story with Mike Hamilton. He has absolutely no excuse for the embarrassment to UT he has stirred up. I will admit that the Kiffen departure was out of his hands but to hire a coach with a nearly identical resume, come on! I am not making this stuff up, for example: Kiffen and Dooley were both considered recruiting powerhouses, both had similarly unattractive records, both had fathers who were coaching legends, and both had strong ties to other schools than UT. Hamilton has potentially put us back in the same murky waters we got out of when Kiffen went to USC. I cannot fathom how this pick for head coach is in the best interest of the program. Dooley was obviously not initially a top candidate but rather a last ditch effort to salvage what's left of the recruiting class. Kippy Brown should have been named head coach and then Hamilton would have had a year to shop around for the best fit coach with UT(maybe someone with ties to the school or just no ties at all) and if Kippy did not excel at the position then bring in the new future of the Tennessee Volunteers, whoever it may be. Again, I mean no disrespect to Coach Dooley but it is unrealistic to think that he will turn UT into a national contender in just a short time. And if by the grace of God he does, there will always be a looming fear of a Georgia or Virginia head coaching vacancy. So, welcome Coach Dooley and good luck, we can only hope that your SEC record will be an improvement to your WAC record last year (pun intended).

Please, before people get bent out of shape and say that I am not a true fan because I do not blindly follow an unproven coach and a cancerous Athletic Director, consider this: If you disagree with your president or those in government/leadership positions does that mean you are disloyal and do not greatly love your country? Of course not, it just means that you are concerned and have doubts for the future.

I cant believe that UT would hire this clown. You all need to start a riot down there.

Yea you're right...some stupid ole' clown. Of course this is the same clown Saban kept on board his staff from 2000 to 2007. Yea I guess he's a barrel of laughs

Cowturd loves the PAC10 & USC and likes to diss the SEC. He is about 1/10th as smart as he thinks he is and likes guys like Lil Lane. I wouldn't worry about his opinion.

Dooley is an excellent hire. Dooley >>>>>>>>>> Lil Lane.

This whole post makes no sense.

Because Cowpecker makes a substantial amount of money to voice his opinion I'm supposed to care about his opinion ? really ?

Who are these important people you speak of ? name them.

I don't care if anyone cares about my opinion, that's the whole point, why should they ? they are opinions.

What is it about Cowturd's opinion that you value ? what is it that qualifies his opinions on sports as important ? the playing career he didn't have or the coaching career he didn't have.
