She didn't. Other people did while pretending to be her. This poor lady and her family are getting blasted for something they didn't do. The only thing she is "guilty" for is having pictures of a rebel flag on her facebook page. A racist social justice warrior started the rumors that she and her family hate blacks and there is zero evidence of that.

Yeah, ive seen some of the fake stuff reported and i put no stock in the confederate flag stuff. However, this story stinks of a money grab. Most parents would go talk to the school first. According to her segment on Today show, teachers were never told. So why put it in public first. I know she said the boy asked her to do that. Why would he ask her to do that? Secondly, when your child ask you to do something dumb, you should teach them why its dumb. There is something up with this story.

Interesting comments from the MMA fighter to, that has no reason to lie and knows he would face backlash for his comments if they are not true.

The simple explanation is it’s 2017 and people run to social media before stopping to think first.

Local news here in my area of KY verifying both mom and son photos holding up the Stars and Cross flag. At the same time saying just because this is true doesn't mean he should be denied the sympathy for being bullied. What I didn't catch was why he was bullied. Was it due to what he described or something else? Other tidbits brought into question about where the GoFundMe money went. Along with attempts to reach the mom earlier. I don't know the whole or even real story behind this beyond just glancing at the local news briefly. Too busy to sit and give it more attention than a casual glance. But you know, people these days and it being near Christmas. Wouldn't surprise me if someone was seeking to exploit sympathy for monetary gain and/or attention. Seen it too many times before.

^ This. A lot of folks, at their core, eventually come around to realize they've wronged someone. The select few that don't have the ability or inclination to do so likely would understand a perpetually crooked nose every time they look in the mirror. Basically, there are bad people out there who understand nothing but violence and occasionally, one must 'speak their language' to get a point across effectively.
