You are correct. My error. He was 2-0 his first year vs UF and 0-3 his last year. To be clear, I would not have minded if he stayed but I do not think it is like losing Bobby Knight or Coach K. In my opinion he was a mediocre coach at a school with recent basketball success and did little to wow me as an alumni and fan. As I did my fact check I also see he has a losing record against Alabama.

Most fans wanted Martin here. They could clearly see the progress and improvement being made in Tennessee basketball under Martin. No, it was the short-sighted, immature, irrational, toxic minority within the "fan base" that led to this unfortunate departure.

They will most likely shut up and play. But that won't do us any good if they are not motivated and it's going to depend on who we hire and can they get excited about the new coach. I'm not optimistic looking at most common names that are currently being thrown around (other than Gregg Marshall who I don't think will be interested).

I understand the inferiority complex towards our coaching search...guess I'll wait to overreact...see what I'm reacting to :blink:
