ESPN is reporting that Kendrall Thomkins is waiting on release from UT

I thought we do not grant releases and I also heard people say that the LOI was not binding because he did not qualify so why would he have to wait for UT to release it?

Didn't you tell us that Ambles would not sign a letter Wed and that Copeland was a "solid" Vol?

Also exclude Oregon from his list he can go to. No need to strengthen someone we play next year.

I figured if ESPN was reporting it then it must be true. I am more interested in your explanation for the Ambles and Copeland misses.

I don't know how I feel about it. He should man up, but if he can't, then let him go. No SEC/USC/or anyone on our schedule for the next 4 years (ie Oregon)

Release him and let him go anywhere. He obviously wanted to play for the Coach instead of school. No reason to punish him for not wanting to play here. Jmo

Agreed. You can't punish him for committing to a coach that he thought would help him succeed. If he doesn't want to stay here, let him go and move on.

he wants to go to usc and after that dumb coach out there said he would not recruite players committed to tennessee and he went straite after ambels and usc wasnt interested in glen stanley till he committed to ut and then he swiped our best lb committ on nsd knowing usc has plenty of lb and he knew that was a major need at ut so dont release tohmkins let him play 2 years here or sit out another ,then his career would be over ,he is just a kifkin butsucker fish head baby

He went after Ambles because Ambles decommitted.

No SEC school, and no USC. We have every right to bar him from USC, since Zer-O was tampering with our recruits (maybe not technically, but in every way that matters).

Dont you get it... this program is not under kiffin anymore! Its headed in the right direction now with class and dignity, so lets show some class and let the kid go where he wants and let him realize the mistake he made when we are playing for SEC titles and national championships in a few years !!! GBO :eek:k:

Sorry but I'd hold the guy to his LOI or make him sit a year. Hamilton said we wouldn't be releasing anyone who signed, I'm assuming Kenbrell qualifies as anyone. I wouldn't mind releasing the kid normally but Hamilton held the other EEs to their commitments, KT should be held to the same level. When you start making exceptions, you undermine the team.

Don't let him out. Hunter will need to redshirt. Same may be true of Milton. Darick's not in yet academically. We may need the guy.

Everything I'm seeing indicates he would sign with Oregon. I don't want this guy taking it to the house on us next year.
