This may have been posted but check the article posted on the main page of ESPN:

Florida Gators justice, Tennessee Volunteers jerseys and Georgia Bulldogs helmets hit The Dash - ESPN

Here are some of the parts I found interesting:

"Gators coach Urban Meyer (4) reviewed the video and used it as a teaching moment. The lesson Meyer delivered: Nothing, not even thuggish behavior, will be allowed to substantively interfere with our pursuit of a repeat national title."

"Florida suspended Spikes for half a game against the worst team in the Southeastern Conference. In a word: weak."

I like the part in the article that says

" If the decidedly nontraditional Lane Kiffin thinks it would help him sign a recruit, the Volunteers would come running out through a cursive "T" before their next home game."

I thought that was hilarious.

Urban should get shredded for that....That was ridiculous...At the same time the Ealey(sp.?) kid he eye gouged said he shouldn't have been suspended....I don't know about you but the kids has a lot more patience/understanding than I would with someone who tried to gouge my eyeballs out

I wonder if the band could/would do that.

The football team would get lost, and if they went with how a real cursive T starts.. the team would be on the field before running through it, before swooping down by the endzone and up the stem!

Mikey Slive and Urban Cryer may have won the battle, but they are starting to have to pay the bill and loose the National PR war.

I'm not even sure college kids these days still know what a cursive T is.

Cursive t -- isn't that what you get when our former QB from Mobile hits his thumb with the hammer???

Maybe it's because he tried to bite Spikes' fingers off.

Lord knows I wouldn't! Not after hearing that he and Tebow had an "altercation"......we all know that Tebow's past altercations have involved licking guys or whispering in a teammates ear. I can't imagine what those Bull gators were up to!

LOL, I about sharted myself when I found out that their major donors are called Bull Gators.

Slime's overprotection of the slimey Turds has turned the media against Turd Nation. Once Slime agreed with the 1/2 game suspension against the mighty Commadorks he showed the Nation what the rest of us already knew. I'm waiting for the release of the movie that highlights the love triangle between Meyer,Slime and Tebag!!!

So who reviews our nazi commissioners job status? Who tells him he's doing a good job or not? I guess since he got us that Espn deal he's now untouchable? I think he's doing a piss poor job myself. Officials on the take and reprimanding coaches who speak out. Then if you want to gouge out some eye balls a slap on the wrist. Not to mention the obvious bias toward the two cash cows of the SEC right now. This guy should have to answer to someone for all this blatant garbage. Reflects bad on the SEC as a whole and the conference is too proud a conference to stand for that. Slive should be given the axe.

I almost wonder (and PLEASE don't think for one split second that I'm advocating behavior like this, I'm not) what Slive would have said if it were CLK giving that little slap on the wrist to say.....Rico. Y'all know as well as I do that he'd be defecating baby cats right now.

Meyer is the king of all media. Just look at all the press he is getting with this. Look at all of the attention that is on the UF football program and think of all the recruits UF pulls in with this. He is one media savvy cat.

Sound familiar? :birgits_giggle:

He told Spikes to do it intentionally. Meyer had this all planned from the get-go.

Indeed, the whole incident was contrived. Meyer is a genius. Think of all of the big time recruits this is going to pull in from all of the media attentionand street cred he gets for this.
