ESPN has no Vols in its preseason All American Team

Thankfully it's a team sport and preseason individual awards don't help on the field anyway.

Now some POSTseason accolades would be nice since that can really only result from good things having happened for us on the field during the season.

ESPN has left Tennessee Players off the All American Team? man! won't they look silly in a few weeks? I see they have their noses stuck up the usual suspect's lower posterior. I agree with most UT Fans, this stuff means nothing, it's a team sport and the play off committee can really give a rat's........Win you are in, Lose you are out......pretty simple stuff, the sports media as a whole are having to make stuff up just to put something out there for people to read.

Go Vols!!

Really couldn't care less. Hope the team achieves all expectations and as a side effect, ESPN and others are necessarily forced to put 3 or 4 of our guys on their postseason all-American lists.

LOL at including the DB from Iowa....

Pre-season AA lists are pretty much intended to do what they've done on this board. They fully realize that most of the attention they get is from people who disagree with their lists.

This is when you that ESPN does not know what the heck they are talking about: Ferguson was expected to be a future starter at Tennessee, but was overshadowed by fellow 2013 signee Joshua Dobbs. Dobbs has started every game for the Vols since taking over in October 2014 and led all SEC quarterbacks with 671 yards and 11 touchdowns on 146 rushing attempts..............LED ALL SEC QBs..........glad TN Fans are here to set the record straight:rock:

ESPN is always homer to teams like LSU, Bama with their predictions. They truly haven't a clue. They even have the Clemson WR, who missed all of last year with injury. Ridiculous if you ask me!

It helps if you know what you're talking about first....

Considering Bama has won more NC's in the last seven years than our entire existence as a program is a pretty good reason for doing so. I could care less if we make it to Atlanta and I am pretty sure the players feel the same way. LSU always has great athletes on the field.

The batteries of my universal translator must be running low. Sounded like you said Bama has more national championships in the past seven years (4) than the Vols do in our history (6). Also sounded like you said that our players "could care less if we make it to Atlanta"...which might grammatically be accurate (since they care a great deal), but idiomatically is just as wrong as the first thing.

Going to get fresh batteries....
