ESPN FPI now favoring our Vols

It comes down to two things...........the offense being able to get some push up front with the running game, which will open up the passing game, and the defense being aggressive for 4 quarters.

I would rather see them go down defensively being too aggressive then sit back in zone D and let them move it at will.

We HAVE to put pressure on Stockton and make him uncomfortable. If the front 4 aren't getting home send 5/6. We cannot let him just sit back there and get in a rhythm
That and we have to do better against their TEs. Past that, on O we just need to make plays one on one against their DBs. Do that to make their safeties help against the pass and we have a great shot.

The only thing that matters is will the Vols be able to control the line of scrimmage. Haven't been remotely close to doing this in a very long time.
This is absolutely the key. The team that wins in the trenches will very likely win the game. Not sure what I think about who is better here. We will see Saturday

I feel like I did the week of Bama 22 and Bama 24. Something is in the air again...

The good guys take care of business this weekend in a dramatic, close game down to the wire.
I vote yes, but think big MO will play a bigger than normal role in this game. Just don’t have a clue who is on the good end of the stick. A few bounces, a few errors, and a few calls that do not offset scare me.

Man, I’m really trying to get excited about this game. Having a hard time after what happened Wednesday. Im usually logging several posts and prepping game day ribs by now. I’m sure by game time that I will be hyped. Just struggling with caring about a trivial sport.

We have to cover their big TEs and jump throws over the middle on pass defense. Run defense must be tougher than their excellent OLine. We can win a physical game vs. UGA. UGA has been more violent than our team since the 2009 game when Kiffin had their number. We have to be the violent team. We have to want it more on the first and last play of the game.

UGA has been an excellent blocking team since Kirby was hired. Their WRs and TEs block and take their men out of the play. I will say the offense that blocks their man best wins the game. Our present blocking WRs and TEs are the best I can remember. We'll find out if we have some guys taking up Bru McCoy and Juaun Jennings Dog Collars.

Our defense scares me...Have we scored much on Kirby's defense the past several years? Has Banks ever stopped their TE's?
I think the Kirby has us figured out narrative has some truth to it but is also kinda inflated. Yes he knows to keep it simple. It's pretty much a 1v1 game across the board. We have had plenty of opportunities to score but we didn't connect. Can JA make the throws and can our 5 star WR make a couple game changing plays would be my concerns

Surely no one over there really believes UT is favored. UT can certainly win but come on now. Have to cover the TEs over the middle, and absolutely HAVE to get to the QB even if it means risking the deep ball. Staying back and keeping everything in front typically hasn't worked against these guys so why not try something different? Need Aguilar to keep them honest with the run and rollouts. Our TEs will be a big key as well.
