I look at Massey Ratings and the Teamrankings.com...looks like LSU's % is between 82%-85%. Then its just all on us...Massey has us as a 91% lock against Mizzou and 81% against Vandy. Teamrankings has at 85% against Mizzou and 69% against Vandy.

According to FPI, win chances this weekend:

UT 87.3%
LSU 82.2%

71.8% chance that UT and LSU both win

Inb4 anythingcanhappen
Inb4 50/50chance

So you are saying Tennessee has a little better than a 50/50 chance to win the east. Or a 55.1% chance that Tennessee wins out and LSU beats Florida.

vs Vandy 76.8% chance for the win.

Whatever--the fact remains that we blew this season, certainly blew any opportunity for it to be a notably good season, with the south carolina loss. Even if florida loses, does going to the SECG and getting hammered again help the cause? I

Have you ever posted anything close to positive on here?

Just hoping our lads take care of our 87.3% chance this weekend.

I could live with us losing the shot because Florida finds a way to sneak by LSU, as long as we did all we could to get there from this point on. What would really hurt would be LSU beating FL, and then us not pulling in these next two Ws. So focusing mostly on us for now.

Go Vols!

Whoever would pass on an SECe championship is nuts; having to play the bammers or not. I'll take it and no doubt CBJ and his crew and team will, as well. All things considered...including the USCjr fart...these young men have overcome enough disasters to mess up two or three seasons. I'm behind team 120 100% and will remain so whatever happens. 93TNVol, you're absolutely right that Alabubba...or anybody for that matter...can be beaten on a given day. I'd rather have a shot at the SECCG (Whatta' mess the playoff committee will have if the Vols can produce a miracle...ala versus the dawgs this season. Ho boy!). Whiners are gonna whine, but I, for one, am enjoying this football season. Keep smilin' posivols! AMIRIGHT?

I'll never understand why people are so negative about things. I get it, we blew the USCjr game, and we have played sloppy all year except of late. So I am just as mad we have to depend on LSU winning to win the SEC East. I'm mad that the coaches haven't seemed to get it together, that we would be ranked #8-12 if we didn't lose to USCjr. I understand all the frustration and concern, and it's ok to be concerned. But instead of thinking of the complete worst, lets put it behind us, and support this team 100%. I'd like to see us win out, get to 9-3, and clinch the SEC East with a FL loss. I truly believe this team would play with everything it had and give all of their heart in a rematch with Alabama. And maybe just maybe heart could overcome their talent. Regardless, it'd still be nice to at least have the chance.

But with that being said, I want to get to 10 wins some how. Either we pull the unthinkable and beat Alabama in SEC Championship or we play them close and then win in a good bowl game.

i don't think it's a forgone conclusion that FL loses. that said, with all their injuries, and how well LSU seems to be playing, i'll be honest and say i'd be very disappointed that the USCe game will be what kept us out of ATL.

because make no mistake, if FL does happen to win...it's not THAT game that cost us the trip to ATL...that game happened 3 weeks ago in Columbia, SC.
