I like his best case, as I was thinking cotton or capital one. but I just dont see us in the liberty bowl.

Arkansas 'count on it' and Tennessee 'Possibly'...you've got to be kidding.

Best case says Cotton Bowl. I do believe I predicted that in my post in the Vols go 9-3 thread.

I hate to tell you this guys but the ones who are predicting 9-3 are too optimistic. Thats best case. Just dont expect that much. Florida and Bama seem like a sure loss, and we could easily lose to UGA and Ole Miss. UCLA is NOT a gimme and I think we will have close games vs Aub and SC. I just dont know if we can win all of those games.
Now UT "possibly" being bowl bound is not what I was thinking. Maybe not the "count on it" option but under the "most likely" spot.
Now is 9-3 possible? Absolutely. So is 6-6. I EXPECT from this team of players and coaches to get to 7 wins. I PREDICT 8-4.

Agreed. UCLA, SC, and Auburn won't just fall over for us. IMHO: even with our tough schedule, I expect 7 wins. 8 wins would be really good for this year.

Of course, 9 wins would be some sort of devine retribution against ESPN. Moreover, the ridiculously unlikely 10 wins would be complete pandemonium, dogs and cats sleeping together.

Since I'm not expecting any signs of the Apocalypse, I'll stick with 8-4 also.

:good!:

There's no way we get the Liberty bowl unless we go 6-6. 5 losses or less and we're pretty much a lock for the Chick-fil-a Bowl.

Most likely outcomes based on wins:

10-2 (BCS)
9-3 (Capital One)
8-4 (Cotton)
7-5 (Peach)
6-6 (Music City)

ptclaus, great avatar! Beirut is premium! Chick-fil-a Bowl I'm guessing. 7-5 season I think... maybe 8-4.... not enough time with the new staff to hit 9 or 10 wins just yet.... but those days will be back sooner rather than later I suspect

7-5, 8-4 peach bowl most likely. Cotton would depend on our conference record. We'd almost have to lose a game out of conference to get into the cotton. 4-4 in the SEC isn't getting you into the cotton bowl. 5-3 probably wouldn't either unless you had the head to head over the teams you were competing against for the bowl bid.
