I know, I can turn it off, but it's kind of like watching a train wreck.

Everytime they bring it up, they state "Won 3 times as many games as he lost", "in this time of economic woes, this is quite an investment".

I know I'm probably reading more into it than I should, but does it seem like they are stating UT is nuts for doing this?

Well this is HUGE news. I think it's getting the coverage it deserves and will continue to get it throughout the day and upcoming days/weeks/months until a new coach is hired. It won't be good news, just news.

during that sad game against SC.. I wrote them too, not that it will do any good but we know how bad we are.... and they show favoritism to the opposing team when at our home stadium.. bunch of duds...:tease2:

GO VOLS....

yeah, i've never really believed that. the only thing a sports network has a rooting interest in in getting ratings.

by flatly stating that fulmer's firing is controversial and acting surprised it happened, they create ratings. i mean, this shouldn't come as a shock to anyone.

It's ESPN. They're just trying to create a story. When they cover us, they point out how far we've fallen; now the trigger has been pulled, they are covering the other side of it (i.e. how could you fire a coach that has that resume?).

Typical journalism.

Last year, how many of them wanted thought Lloyd was done at Michigan and lamented the fact the university had not already fired him?

How many are quick to point out Michigan's lack of accomplishments this year from the start?

Whether they hate Tennessee or love Tennessee, and I am sure there are some in both camps, they are going to spin this negatively.
