Will Lose When ...
Their half-court defense is porous, which it often is. The Vols ended up last in the SEC in field goal percentage defense.

Famous Last Words
If the draw is right, the Vols can get to the Sweet 16. If, on the other hand, they come up against a team with size and scoring ability at the four and five spots, their time in the dance

ESPN's Take
One of the great success stories of the season is in danger of being one of the quick flameouts of the postseason. The Volunteers started the season 19-3 but enter the NCAAs having lost four of their last six, including an SEC quarterfinal upset to South Carolina. Tennessee took the nation by surprise in its first year under Bruce Pearl with a new gameplan (constant all-court pressure and a spread-the-floor, baseline flex offense) and a new mindset (soft was out, hard-nosed was in). The Vols went from a 5-0 curiosity to a 6-0 sensation after routing Texas in Austin, then solidified their NCAA credentials with an eight-game January-February winning streak that included an upset of No. 2 Florida and a win at Kentucky. Tennessee's perimeter attack is paced by the shooting stroke of guard Chris Lofton (17.5 points per game, 47 percent three-point shooting) and penetration of point C.J. Watson (15 points, 4.1 assists). The question is whether the Vols, who are both short -- only two key players taller than 6-5 -- and short of depth have worn down and lost their mojo.
