Is that Gator longhand for on Saturday, the only day it mattered, the Dawgs were a better team and Mark Richt was a better coach?

GA's off week did not hurt anything against FL. It helped. Let GA enjoy this 3-18 is worth the celebration by GA Fans.

VGTX,

I did say that I don't believe AL could beat us again and gave reasons. I'm very realistic about this team and stll believe we can beat AL. Our other defeats were by clearly better teams and I don't believe that's the case with AL. It's all hypothetical because we won't see a rematch, but I just didn't see their team as better than ours. our gameplan was as poor as it could have been and JPW had his career day. I would expect us to slow that train substantially.

Maisel thinks USC is the SEC #2....c'mon

Apparently all you need to do to get high up on one of these lists is get in good with one of the "experts" early in the season....

Then it won't matter if you are a 3 loss team that has basically no chance of winning your division....the "experts" will still say your the 2nd best team in the whole conference

We did keep score.

59-20, to be exact.
Man, why did you have to bring that up...

Not cool Law....Not cool...

In all seriousness though, the nashville sports talk shows are saying that Vandy will steal one out of Gainesville this weekend...Give me a break, I hope you guys beat Vandy by at least 35...There reasoning behind it is, Tebow's banged up and you have no running game outside of him.....well, i can somewhat agree with that....But, i think the Newton??? kid will be a good option qb as well...whats your thoughts on that law?

Like I know.

This is the SEC. This is the SEC East. And this is 2007. Given the way this year has gone, it may end in a scoreless tie.

In all seriousness back at you, I really don't know much about Vanderbilt this year. I would imagine that, for our part, this week will be spent largely explaining to our offensive line the object of the game for them, which is to get in the way of the guys in the other team's shirts who are running at our QB. They seem to have forgotten that last weekend.

Newton is athletic and seems like he will do well in Meyer's offense, but he's only taken 8 snaps so far this year, and none since the Tennessee game where he only took two and ran both times. It would not surprise me to see him get some time, but it is obvious that UM is going to keep Tebow in there as long as the game is close and with our defense unable to stop Mrs. Rumplestilskin's 5th grade honors English class, I'm thinking Florida is going to find itself in a competitive game yet again this weekend, meaning that Tebow probably goes the distance.

The next time Tennessee plays LSU, is on the basketball court....

Its ridiculous for anybody to makes statements of certainty about this season. You might very well be true, UT might not get there. You might very well be true, LSU might not get there. LSU is certainly not locked into the SECCG at this point. Nothing is certain this season.

Actually, I think that's wrong. If you win out, that means you win the East and you almost certainly get beat by LSU or Alabama, making you at four losses and coming off a loss very unattractive to the BCS. I read today that no team losing its conference championship game has gotten an at-large BCS berth.

nebraska played for the national championship after losing the conference championship game.
