One person has Tennessee in the
Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl vs Michigan St.

The other has us in the Music City Bowl vs. Duke

Either bowl I think we could win if that is how it plays out. IMO this adds to the importance of a win this weekend for Dooley.

Ehh, I don't like these way too early polls things. they are always bias and rarely give credit where credit is due while giving too much to those who don't deserve it (*ahem Oregon)

I don't want to play Duke in a bowl game. We need to get back to cherry picking W. Carolina in recruiting. Taxslayer Bowl would be better IMO.

I can see the fall out if we play Duke and were to lose. "Hell everyone.....I told yall we should have worked the deal to get Coach Cut."

I'd rather play Michigan State. I'd like a team with a recent winning tradition. Think it would be a good match-up and a solid win for us, should we get it.

I expect good things this weekend. Miss. State just simply hasn't been tested so far whereas we have. While I think we'll play far from perfectly, I still think we win and earn a little more respect nationally (albeit not much).

Add (ahem) LSU to the list. You guys might finish 3rd in the SEC...West...this year.

Go Vols.

entirely possible.

but hey, you never know. the optimistic fan in me still sees how winning out will put us in the NCG.

The realistic fan in me thinks we drop SC and Bama, maybe A&M.

Better than 5th... in the East... Like the vols.

I got us at 4th. Maybe 5th, but that's a stretch.

Which is about where we should be at this point.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...things are as good as they're going to get down in Corn Dog Country. Bama still owns you; Florida embarrassed your offense; USCe is calling; MSU is on the rise; and Texas A&M waits in the wings.

Mind you, LSU is a solid team. Top to bottom. But your search for a legitimate QB looks a lot like our search for a legitimate kicker.

Maybe you've got one laying around on Frat Row?

Must be a slow day in your neck of the woods...coming to VN to feel better about your team.

Oh....your village left me a voicemail.

Go Vols.

Music City sounds about right. I've been to a few Duke games since I moved here to Durham. They are very fundamentally sound and play smart football it would be a test. I don't want to play MSU that RB is a 240lb beast. We need a bowl win and get some momentum

Ask your inner optimistic fan what happens if you do get to the NCG...Get biotch slapped by Bama again?..

If the best we can do is the MCB with the offensive firepower currently on the roster then I'm curious to know what you guys think we'll do next year when it's gone.

hard to say that, they havent played anyone.

they will finish 10-2

Tough schedule or not it's not that hard to say they're a good team. They've put up at least 42 pts a game so far and their defense is certainly better than it has been in years past.

I agree with that. Since Dooley has been here our recruiting in North Carolina has slipped. Gurley and Marshall both went to UGA even though they aren't from the western part of the state. We lost out on Pagan to bama a couple years ago and he was a big time recruit from Asheville. Dooley does seem like he does pretty well around Georgia in recruiting for obvious reasons but so did fulmer. We used to always have strong ties with NC, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia. Now it just seems like we get players from Georgia, and a few of the lesser knowns from the Charlotte area and a bunch of junior college players and some lesser known Tennessee kids. Hunter was our last decent recruit from Virginia.
