ESPN - Berry OFF Heisman list

Let's be honest, unless his role changes, he won't win. Even if all the other legit contenders get hurt, some offensive chump from a cupcake conference with a cupcake schedule will win.

Odd that Eric Norwood is a choice, but you have to write in Berry's name. Berry is third now behind Harris and Tebow.

The point is that yesterday he WAS a choice on the list and today he is NOT a choice on the list.

Why take off the #3 person in the vote?:eek:hmy:

Polishing his Heisman trophy, playing CB for the Green Bay Packers, and carving a rather solid career for himself.

I know it is a small thing -- but look at the list of plays. Tebow is first on the list. Why not have the list in alphabetical order??

No. 14 leads the D in most categories including total tackles. He only has one pick but if there was a category for TD saving tackles, he would lead the team there too!

Notice they did not mention the play where he lit up the running back causing his helmet to fly 5 yards backwards. Instead they talk about a play were Berry takes a bad angle, hits shoulder pads, and his momentum takes him out of the play....yeah he really got rolled...idiots

I don't think he meant "leads the team", he meant leads the SEC.

And look, I'm not here to take all kinds of cheap shots, I thought the article was funny, I hadn't seen any of that Heisman stuff for Berry. And go back and read my posts from last week. I spent all week taking shots at our "fluff" offense and how we had played nobody, and how your defense was going to shut us down and your running game would be unstoppable against our "laughable" defense.

If you also read my posts, any Vol fan that cared to actually talk intelligently about the two teams, I showed great respect for them and for your team (which is something I can't say was shown for our team). Even if someone thought Tennessee would win and offered more than "because you Aubarn rednecks suck and haven't played anybody", I respectfully discussed things.

So for those very, very few posters who acted like the game would be a tough fought game between two good teams, I have nothing to say except....if you even had Joe Cox as your QB you'd probably be 4-1 right now, 3-2 at the very worst.

But for all of the other ignorant condescending disrespectful posters (the majority), I am here to gloat at least a little bit. I mean, one guy was actually laughing that I thought we may gain more yards than Florida's 323. And all I said was that if we ran for over 200 and threw for over 225, I thought we would win. Is that so ridiculous to think? Obviously, now that the game has been played, it's not ridiculous.

Anyway, good luck with the QB situation. If you can get him (and your receivers) to play the rest of the season the way he played the second half, you'll finish no worse than 7-5.

regardless i'm tired of all this eric berry for heisman. is he the best player in fball? i'd say he is def in the top 2. i was fine with all the push for the heisman until i watched the swiperboy video. that vid made me sick, i'm not sure why it wasn't bad, i think just having eric in it singing his own name kinda turned me off.
