ESPN: Belk or Music City Bowl

Belk wants us bad. They had Georgia last year and the next closest team to Charlotte with bowl eligibility is Ole Miss. Of Course LSU travels well.

Belk is a decent bowl. Last year's was UGA vs. Louisville. Would much prefer that (or the MC) to something like the Liberty or Birmingham bowl.

Illinois probably wont even make a bowl game, theyve got to beat either a pretty decent Minnesota team or a quality Northwestern team, id say chances are they dont even make it, so then who?

No one expected us to make the Taxslayer bowl last year. All the projections had us in the Liberty/Birmingham/Music City. I wouldn't be surprised if we make the Outback Bowl, but prefer Belk so I can go.

If we go 8-4 I'm still crossing my fingers for the Outback Bowl. That would be phenomenal.

Yes they are. They're extremely good. I do think they are in a bit of a rough patch right now, but this offense is one of the best in the country when they are gelling.

If we end this season 5-0, I don't give a damn which bowl game we go to. As long as we finish the season off strong and win a lesser named bowl game, I feel that's what we need for next season.

Although, I thought last years bowl game vs Iowa would spark us more this season, and it didn't quite have the effect I thought it would. So I guess what I'm saying is, I have no idea how to predict the future anymore.

Why do we have to lose a game to make the Belk bowl. 8-4 is about right for that bowl. Problem is everyone in VN expects more. I think our chances (after finishing 8-4) of making the outback bowl are below 10% but everyone insists on acting like its a great shot. Only happens if some SEC teams lose the next few weeks. Here's hoping for Belk!

Exactly. 2015 isn't 2016. Each season is different.

i'm hoping for a florida bowl when they beat missouri. if not, i'll take the music city bowl---good chance to party hard in nashville for 2 days and drink lots of good bourbon and listen to some good music.
