It's more than a little hypocritical for guys like Forde to lament college football becoming big business. Were it not for the insatiable fan interest that leads to the pressure on coaches alluded to in his column, Forde would still be a local writer in Lousville making about 1/5th of his present salary.

I don't see coaches turning down millions in order to save themselves from pressure, either.
