"It's hard to leave your alma mater, especially when I'd been there so long and it meant so much to me," Sanders said. "But at the same time, it has been refreshing seeing a different way of doing things. "At Tennessee, we never changed & the way we did things, from the time I was a player through my coaching career. We did things pretty much the same the whole time, so if it's not broke why fix it? "We [Kentucky] have a different approach toward practice and a different approach towards lots of things. Some of the things we do here I like, some of the things we did at Tennessee I liked. I've had fun at both places."

Kinda tells you all we need to know, doesn't it? And confirms what many of us have been saying for a very long time....

Sanders will be a head coach at a major college before it's over with and as much as many feel he was the problem at UT. I personally believe he was not. Many would laugh if he were ever considered as a replacement for Fulmer when he retires, but he is worth watching.

Hes a fine qb coach, but not an OC....KY is lucky to have Joker Phillips calling the shots and let Randy groom the qb's..

now if we could just get a capable oc to run the offense so fulmer doesn't get involved and cut simply grooms qbs we'd be set. except for defense and special teams of course....

You all are right. The quote about us never changing anything and if it ain't broke don't fix it does say alot. But if you look at it like that you also need to look at what he has done up there with Woodson. Woodson said it himself when he talked about how he didn't know how to properly prepare for games. It says something that on of our former players/coaches came in there and has made that kind of impact. Turning a qb that was known for throwing INTs and getting yanked from games into a qb that has been mentioned for heisman consideration and at one point was a lock to be in NY for the presentation.
