I truly believe that CBJ has been doing everything he can possibly do to make the Vols a winner, which means that he's now a lame duck who's getting an extra year to kick back because we happen to be having some personnel changes at the university's highest levels. I just hope that he and his staff have enough personal pride and professionalism that they don't pull the kind of crap that Dooley's staff managed in their final season. We need people up there right now who are willing to fight hard for recruits that they may never get to coach. We need people who will focus on the job at hand at the sacrifice of their own futures. If they cannot give us that, then we need to go ahead and pull the trigger now.

Gotta love the line and the ironic truth when the writer says "after 4 years of laying bricks". That is damn near accurate assessment of CBJ and staff.

Maybe with lowered expectations next year, Butch can actually excel. Maybe he just doesn't handle the spotlight. Looking at the schedule I see three games we'd be underdogs (bama, lsu, fl). So lets give another mulligan along the way to Butch. So question will be does 8-4 get him fired? What if 8-4 wins the east next year?

Here is the link, pretty spot on IMO.

Tennessee fails to live up to the hype, now has murky future - SEC Blog- ESPN

Pretty Good Line:

"Champions of Life get mocked. Champions of the East at least get another game and a banner."

The real question is, can Butch take the next step with this team or will he take a step back and we get to go through another coaching search???

.

I believe so. The media is being very dishonest with that quote. They're trolling the Tennessee fan base.

For 365 day the only response I need for people like Edward Aschoff is "38-28". Get lost Ed

This fanbase doesn't know the meaning of lower expectations. That would mean we'd have to be patient with success.

Does the Champions of Life program now replace the VFL program? I guess I'm not a fan of change, but I prefer the VFL.
