Butch Davis said that "ESPN classic will be showing this game for a 100 years". I hope only as a training video as how not to call a game.

Hey Butch, you got lucky.

Doubtful since you will probably vacate this win after the ncaa investigates your program. Where there is smoke there's fire.

A thought occurred to me. Seeing as Butch Davis has spent time in the NFL on a superbowl winning team no less , I can't help but wonder if he ran people out on to the field late knowing his qb wasn't gonna spike the ball in time. If you look at the 10 sec mark they haven't even lined up yet and he's waving the FG unit on and they suddenly start storming out at the 5 sec mark. He knows the difference between the NFL rules and the half assed college one. This will stop the clock once the flag is thrown if the ball is snapped with too many players on the field . It's pure speculation , and if it's the case the man is on his toes and will end up with a statue on the NC campus. Would be a monster heads up play on his part.

I guess my idea was wrong cause upon reading the rule , if the offense commits a pre snap penalty ( and having too many people on the field is a pre snap penalty if I recall) then he couldn't spike the ball to stop the clock. It would have run out no matter what. So yeh..either way we got hosed.

we lost the lsu because we had to many men on the field. now we loose one because nc had to many men on the field. rules just dont add up, but hopefuly next season will be better GO VOLS.

f'''''''''' Butch Davis. It's not a instant classic, they should never show it again. It was a embarrassment to the game of football.
