This is another 20+ more UT targets in the ESPN300, and I think UT has a legit shot with all of these prospects. I think UT legitimately lands 12 of these recruits.

It was good to see Truitt ranked so high. ESPN also showing Evan Berry love.

If this ESPN300 list sticks, UT could realistically land 15-20 easy.

I agree. I think UT lands all 11 recruits you think UT has a "great shot" with. I think Tabor to UF, Cornwell to UA, and Bars to ND. I think UT will have a good shot with Kizer though.

Carter, Kitt, Autry, and Glass most likely will end elsewhere, but I thought their ratings were worth noting.

Haden is an intriguing prospect. I think depending on how UT's recruiting cycle goes, Haden could come to UT with Payne and Funderburk. Singleton had very high interest at UT at one point, but apparently he was comfortable with Dooley's staff, not so much with Jones' staff.

Regardless, I believe UT will land around 18 ESPN300 prospects, which is very good.

Way to much put into these rankings for nothing. They are for the most part worthless. If you look back at the past ESPN150 players and how their careers went it would astound you. Ranking services including ESPN are trying to sell memberships, they do not properly evaluate these kids. Jalen Hurd was wanted by the top programs in the country but I see a kid ranked 20 spots ahead of him has 4 average offers??? If a kid doesn't set up a profile themselves they are not even considered so all the great players not paying membership dues to ESPN won't even be rated. While it is great when you are on the winning side of rankings what we should look at is where was Hurd on CBJ board? How about Kelly? Noticed Wolf is #10 ranked Y Tight end and number 9 ranked player had one offer to Missouri. Gunner Kiehl was a top QB in nation and now is sitting out a year and going to the Big East.
Getting early commitments means one big thing to me...we are getting the guys we want. That is the biggest thing. When we are chasing scraps 2 weeks before NSD that is when we need to concern ourselves. JMO from what I hear from many. Now if a guy goes to a camp or combine and performs in front of evaluators and kicks butt that is different. I just see that more 3 star guys succeed in college than do 4 stars in many cases.
