Shaq Wiggins of UGA rated above other DBs like McQuay, Harris, Ramsey, Bell, etc?

That is ridiculous.

I don't necessarily disagree..........you have to trust your staff and not always listen to the idiots who view star rankings above all else.

You've got several open-minded people on this board who keep it in perspective...........then you have others who only think 4 and 5 star kids will do and the class has to be top 5 every year.

I trust you are not in the latter?

Not exactly sure what goes into the rankings........but at least for the first 2, McQuay and Harris, the kid must be a beast.

You're probably one of the UT "fans" who was disappointed when Brett Kendrick committed because of his star rankings.

Don't be that guy. Celebrate guys who want to be Vols regardless of star rankings.

just noticed that Michigan has an amazing class brewing and is on the rise to their glory days again. And if you didnt know for some unknown reason ESPN does hate us with a firey passion!

Haven't checked, but I'd be willing to bet that Wiggins is playing in the Under Armour game. ESPN always pumps up rankings on guys playing in their game.

All four I listed are head and shoulders better football players than Wiggins. And all four have much better offer lists.

Naw, he's one of the ones who whines about star rankings. I've seen his act played out a thousand times, but it's not just limited to him.

It's disappointing to see people not be excited about a kid who wants to represent your school when he could have chosen 10 others.

You will very rarely ever see me talk bad about a UF kid. I might say it doesn't make sense, but you won't see me saying "we need 4 or 5 star kids" or "his offer list sucks and look at who UGA, FSU, LSU are getting" etc.......

read an article in ESPN magazine about how they researched star ratings and they had little to no correlation with future win percentages. its all about how well coaches scout/coach em up. wake me up when football season starts

But some people on here think our coaches should only recruit based on offer lists and star ratings...... this coming out is good for our armchair coaches.

The Patrick kid out of lenoir City is being hounded by Bama pretty hard, not sure what the recruiting services have him listed as. This kid could grow into a safety.
