I would not be suprised if Monte moves Berry to cornerback next year. Those hard licks that Eric gives out takes a toll on his body.

He had steel plates put in in place of his shoulders..

harder hits.. He also had EB put in the steel so when he knocks someone out it leaves his initials.. like a brand.. =)

Hate to get of topic and I wish EB the best of luck, but this post got me thinking to how serious was Jon Crompton's shoulder injury back in 2005, I bet that is a big reason for his inaccuracy

This years defense was nothing to laugh at. Had UT fielded halfway decent offenses in 05 and 07 none of these discussions would be taking place.

Our offense was pretty productive in 2007. The defense sucked until late in the year

Berry (assuming he has to cut back in spring practice) will be the most bothered, and least affected, of any guy on that field.

what was berry having done? if his problem was mostly instability, i would argue his shoulder will be much better after the surgery.

Yes it was!
Just because we were ranked 5th in the league does not mean anything. We only got that because our D was on the field for most of the game. But look at the yards allowed since 05 on us. We have given up huge amounts of yards because Chavis plays a bend dont break defense. That D is OLD!!!
UCLA was a signature John Chavis game, we get 4 takeaways in the first half and are looking great and a pretty decent coach in Norm Chow makes some halftime adjustments (which CHAVIS has never done) and he bends Chavis over in the second half with a 3rd string QB. His signature Mustand Package has lost us countless games in the 4th quarter.
Between him and Fulmer we have the most conservative team in America! I mean between the Mustang Package and the conservative play calling with Fulmer (trying not to lose instead of trying to win) I cant wait until next year!
