Ainge, Scheaffer and Clausen took us to the SECCG in 2004. And Ainge didn't even play in that game.

2007 was a backdoor special for Fulmer and the gang. Florida had an all freshman defense and lost a few big games and UGA was being your typical UGA (underachieving). That was probably one of the worst SEC East representatives in a championship game up until that time in history. Not to mention that he single handedly lost us the game.

would take wins over UF , Bama, and UGA however they come. If Bama fumble 10 times this season and we win by 3 ..I am all in.

By your logic we should vacate 3 games from 98 due to lucky breaks and the other teams failure to execute. Wins are wins ...losses are losses.

And by his same irregular logic, we should also have wins against LSU and UNC. Those were just stupidity/luck/bad calls, should be our W's.

Anyone that doesnt think ainge was one of the best tn qbs in recent memory needs to have a psyche evaluation!!! Granted cutcliffe helped restore his confidence after a tretorous sophomore campaign but after we lost our top 3 receivers in 06' the guy turned lucas taylor, austin rogers, and josh briscoe into all sec caliber receivers... Rogers and taylor both had over a grand each in 07' and briscoe was more than an adequate compliment to the 2 which would have had average seasons at best with any other qb...GBO!!!!

I was as critical as anyone of Fulmer in the last years. But you are what your record says you are, don't buy the whole backing into conference championship game argument.

And beating Georgia like a drum at home along with tough wins against South Carolina and Arkansas is what allowed UT to play in the SECCG. And truth be told a game that UT had LSU dead to rights the majority of the game. Yeah Ainge threw a costly pick, but Cutcliffe did a masterful job in getting Ainge's confidence back his junior and senior seasons.

We were leading the game going in to the 4th qtr I believe

Aww...thinking of me.

Now I feel all warm inside.

He was bashing Bray. He's stopped lately, since I pimpslapped him.

His show is fine, informative and he's not a negavol. On the field, he's a chokefest waiting to happen.

Have to agree.
He never bashed him. He pushes him to be the best and says Bray has more talent. He also states Bray has yet to win a big game and needs to step it up. How is that bashing?

What does this word mean? At first I thought you had misspelled "treacherous", but I googled "treterous".... it appears to be a word that is used by a lot of people, but not included in any online dictionary that I could find....

Imagine how good he would have been if he wasn't on drugs. He was still above average.

EAinge said bray needed to grow up and he was right.when ainge talks about bray lately, he is giving bray praise and taking bray side in these bashings.i don't agree with everything he says but he is right on when he talks about this years team.

ainge was also a very good qb and would have been great if cut had been there.the guy just knows what he's talking about when it comes to football.EG is right also.if it hadn't been for his problem.he would probably still be playing in the league.

Where is the idiot who likes to start the "Ainge is bashing Bray" threads?

I love Ainge's show. I like to hear him break down football. It's cool to listen to somebody who actually knows something about the game instead of idiots like Jimmy Hyams, John Adams, and John Pennington. I'd like to punch those guys in the face!

Yeah, I've been podcasting his show, and his football IQ to me is off the charts..

I would have to agree, I mean the calls and signals have changed since Ainge was here, but the actual concepts and a lot of the plays are the same. The guy knows why you throw to who in certain coverages or why you call you running play and whatever. It is better than Heather and the rest making statements that they have no idea about.

Any team Ainge isn't behind center is a team to be hopeful about.

I hate myself for using a Jeremy Piven gif (he sucks) but it's fitting in this case.

Watching the 07 Vandy game on CSS, and goodness, for a terrible QB, Ainge certainly was clutch to win this one. Threading the needle, reading a blitz. Yeah, he was so awful.

The worst SEC east representative?
Did you watch the game?
Have you recently reviewed any of the footage, statistics or score?

It was contested all the way to the 4th quarter...Ainge threw 2 INT's but the game was VERY close. And, LSU went on to win the national championship, it isn't like we lost to a close game to a bad team. We were 6-2 in the SEC that year, tied with UGA for the east but beat them due to a head to head tie-breaker.

Last year's performance by UGA was possibly the worst, in recent memory. This back door talk is silly, it isn't like there is not a mathematical formula to determine who wins the divisions. Some fans talk like every other SEC east school declined the invite to the Ga. Dome and UT was a fill-in.

I was at the game.

if ainge had played under coach cut the 4 years he was here.we might be talking about him like we talk about peyton.imo

If you are going to play the what if game, I could easily say the same for Crompton had he had 4 years with Kiffin... instead of 1 year of Sanders, 2 of Cut, 1 of Clawson and 1 of Kiffin.

uh,ok.i agree but i still don't like kitten.really ,if he had more than 2 years with cut,it could have been the same.

is this an argument?
