You go out there and expect to win. When the fourth quarter started, we were going down there to score. We knew we were going to win the football game. I speak for a lot of people when I say that I genuinely knew that we were going to win that football game. Even if (Vanderbilt) made the field goal, we had thirty-five seconds to get into field-goal range. We’ve won a lot more games like this than we’ve lost since we’ve been here.”

He had a lot more confidence than me.

"They know they escaped," Vanderbilt senior defensive tackle Gabe Hall said. "We were more physical than them."

Gabe should go file it next to Vandy's 150 other moral victories.

Vandy students will sleep comfortably tonight assured that they pay 5 times more for their undergraduate education. They're the real winners.

Vandy was so physical that they couldn't keep their offense on the field long enough in the 4th quarter to hold onto a 15 point lead.

They probably thought we would just roll over and die facing a big deficit like we did against Florida and Alabama.

Current streak against Vandy = 2 consecutive victories

Yeah, 16 yards in the fourth quarter doesn't exactly spell dominance does it?

I'm not really ragging on Vandy. Just pointing out that if Vandy was really more physical, they would have been able to grind out a first down or two in the 4th qtr, eat clock and win the football game.

Yeah, Tennessee fans need to spit on Vandy about their kick coverage.

It only took us 3/4 of the season to find Rogan wasting away on the bench...

Rogan's skill is returning the ball. He isn't close to being our best guy in coverage.

Yeah, because you can find about 20 posts where I said he was our best secondary player.

My point is he shouldn't have been on the bench wasting away for 8 games. At least get him on the field... somewhere.

I wouldn't call a few games your freshman year "wasting away." Anyhow, he was returning kicks in the open scrimmage before the season, and showed flashes of being a good returner, but nothing better than our other return men. Hefney did fine last year returning punts, but just didn't have it this year, too much dancing around. I'm glad that Rogan stepped up his game and has become a special returner.

I see him on kick-coverage a lot too. He's been on the field, just not returning. I really don't think our coaches keep players on the bench because of some evil conspiracy...there's a little thing called practice that we don't see and they do. I imagine that they are in a FAR better position to judge who should be playing. Like them or not, they're still good coaches. They didn't forget how to coach, they're just not as up-to-date as they need to be.

That's how a Sr. QB and offensive team leader should think.

That's how a Sr. QB and offensive team leader should think.

How he thinks and what he says is far different than what he actually does.

he didn't play like a winning QB for most of the day... or for that matter, the last month or so.
