As I said, Cal is the #1 PUBLIC school in the nation. The only schools in front of them are private universities.

It's still a public university and obviously it isn't that difficult to gain admission.

Yeah, we're behind an extremely expensive, elite private school. Big deal? We're still the best public university in the Nation and a world reknown school.

There are at least 6 Universities in CA better than UT in terms of Academics.
