Question???
As has been mentioned in this thread the pinky finger does not come into play much when throwing the football but it does come into play on the snap under center. If EA's finger is still a problem come game time there should be more use of the shotgun formation to alleviate some of the risk of re-injury. If the Vols are using the shotgun more, maybe even exclusively, what effect does it have on the running game?
I don't think Fulmer would have even brought Cromptons name up if there wasn't a real possibility of that happening. The fact is,EA may even start to see how he plays then trun it over to Crompton if he's bothered by it too much.I'd be a lot more concerned if we were playing Florida Saturday to be honest.

I don't like the sound of Fulmer saying "expects" instead of "will"...
Did anyone ever stop to wonder if that was just Fulmers way of making Cal get a false dose of confidence? Its really quite clever when you think about it. If not, and Fulmer was genuine in his assessment of the situation, this could be serious. An injury to your starting QB the week leading up to the game is no mater to take lightly, especially when the oponent is the #12 team in the nation. For everyones sake I would like to see the Vols as near to 100% as possible. A win without Ainge just wouldnt be as sweet, knowing the endless excuses from Vol fans/pundits would follow any Cal victory. Let us all hope he recovers and is 100% come Saturday.
