Josh Allen is the one guy in the NFL arguably more talented than Dobbs so I'll give you that. But Dobbs will be special once he gets his chance. He's yet to be given a genuine chance. And as a black man (I'm assuming you are black) you should know black QBs don't just get handed opportunities in the NFL especially as late round picks. They need all the dominos to fall their way just to have a chance. The dominos have thus far lined up against Dobbs.

Just look at last year. Foles gets hurt so the Jags trade for him with only a 6th round rookie ahead of him. You would think that was gonna be his job. But alas that 6th round rookie QB who only got his shot to start in the NFL because of injury enjoys a magical year so he keeps the job. The Steelers conversely have Big Ben go down for the season and Mason Rudolph look like trash. Devlin Hodges (an undrafted rookie free agent) starts more games last year than Dobbs has his entire career. If Foles doesn't get hurt we never hear of Minshew and Dobbs potentially gets his shot with the Steelers last year with Big Ben out. Who knows how that turns out.

I don't mind that none of yall still believe in Dobbs. Just don't pretend when he blows up that it was an obvious call like so many are doing now with my pick that Josh Allen would be the best QB from the 2018 draft over the long term.

Look man I watched Dobbs play in Pittsburgh when Ben got hurt. As I said before D4H he's as athletic as they come but he's not a pro starting qb. His accuracy is very shaky. As far as race yes I am blk. I also say this. If a qb is good enough he will play regardless of color. Have you paid any attention to the NFL of recent. Russ, Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Tyrod, Cam, Dak, DeShaun, Haskins, and Bridgewater all started wk 1 in 2020 with RGIII and Winston, etc still in the NFL.

Josh Allen was also said to have shaky accuracy until this year. Same with Lamar until 2019. Just because a QB doesn't have success right away doesn't mean he won't grow into it. You're basically saying Dobbs can't make it as a NFL QBs off a couple of quarters against the Raiders in 2018. That's a crazy small sample size to make such a determination.

I don't care if you have already given up on Dobbs. Just don't act like its all over for him based on roughly 2 qtrs of real NFL action 2 years ago. He's still only 25 years old. All he needs is a real chance which he hasn't gotten yet.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah BLAH you earn your chance at practice during the week. He had a legit chance in Jacksonville. Didn't work their 3 deep speaks for itself Gardner, Glennon, and Luton. Three pedestrian qbs and he got cut. My team took him back but will he ever play?

Did Dobbs have a legit chance in practice at Tennessee versus Worley and Peterman? If I remember correctly he needed injuries to Worley and Peterman repeatedly stinking it up in real games before getting his shot. Then when he lights it up against Alabama and South Carolina in back to back games as a sophomore everybody on here was wondering why he wasn't starting all along.

Coaches aren't infallible. They make decisions all the time that look questionable after the fact. We have already seen in NFL history several Hall of Fame QBs be cut to start their careers (Johnny Unitas and Kurt Warner) or served as backups on several different teams before getting their chance later on (Len Dawson).

You'll be cheering for Dobbs eventually as he leads your Steelers to deep playoff runs happy to be wrong.

Gotta admit though that he's pretty good to have as a backup and could do no worse than some of the QBs getting snaps in the NFL.
