As much as I like to be right. I see him gone after this year. I hope I'm wrong on this one.

It would be selfish to want Berry to stay for his senior season. If he has a season half as good as last year's, he'd be a top 10 pick.

man a thread about eb's future should end up with several million posts because this kid's future is endless...i foresee one more year at ut with a top 5 heisman finish after we win ten games, top 3 draft pick, 12 all-pro years, hall of fame induction, and then he will take his rightful place as emperor of the world and rule over us all with a firm but benevolent fist.

As a player he has to have the thirst for knowledge. Pure athlete, he is above the rest but to learn under monte and take that with him to the nfl might be worth staying another year.Injury is always a concern.

He only stays if Monte says that he needs to, IMO. Monte will be honest with him and is obviously the best evaluator in this situation.

EB is already a Tennessee legend... if he stays for his senior season and an SEC title, then a top five heisman finish is a foregone conclusion. They WILL stick a wax statue of him in the TN football HOF next to Peyton and Tee if he stays 4 years.

Hubbs reported that the publicity department is working on a possible EB Heisman campaign. It's been a while since we've done that.

I was sitting here thinking of how Eric Berry is a class act and obviously a great football player.

He is on legendary status within UT athletics forever but I was wanting some feed back on whether EB is on Peytons status or Al Wilson status? Or........... Is EB bigger than Peyton?

IMO if EB stays 4 years he will be ahead of PM.

i think peyton on offense and berry on defense...unless he balls out of control on both this year then the controversey begins

idk about all of that,, i would say more of a Reggie White, its hard to compare a DB to a QB like that

Not to mention the team was 8-4, 11-1, 10-2, 11-2 during Manning's 4 years. The excitement/national recognition given a program with such a great record naturally elevates the face of that program to greatness.

If he comes back for a 4th season we can consider it. But first he needs to play this season. In my book...he's good but not "legendary". Yet.

eric berry is not necessarily a household name outside of the SEC. Peyton was known by all. I think Eric Berry is as good at safety as Peyton was at QB though. hard to compare...

I love EB but until he delivers a title he will never pass Al Wilson for tops on D. He's young and has a shot but those are huge shoes to fill.
